My Theory on the Twilight Realm

O.k., while reading through some posts i wrote out this theory on the twilight realm and why it is said that only link transforms when he enters it. Remember those shots of Link in his home town of Tauru? (Name Pending, ha!) Remember that mark on his hand? You know that golden triangle thing? Oh yes the triforce! Dont you find it odd how only the boy with the triforce on his hand transforms in the twilight? We can also expect 2 others to have the mark of the triforce as in OoT (Zelda + Ganon). So therefore, wouldnt it make sense for the other bearers of the triforce to transform aswel? Maybe Ganondorf into the Piggish monster Ganon, and Zelda into...Midna...or nothing cuz the cloak?

(I was gonna put some photos here but i dont know how to do that)

This is just a theory i developed. I would like to know all your opinions on it!

Interesting, that would back up my midna being zelda idea...

This makes alot of sense. But I heard the clock was for mourning, when Hyrule is being taken over by this Twilight.

But didn't someone comfirm that Midia is a evil character? I have said many times.... Our beloved Princess Zelda would never think of doing such evil deeds

But it does pose something... Why Link is the only one which changes. And I think HE is the only one which changes... EA didn't exactly say there were only three people. He only said Link

First off, It has been said by EA that Link is the only being that transforms due to the twilight.

EA: That is correct. Link is the only being who can transform in the twilight realm...

Second, Zelda and Midna are in the same place at the same time, so I doubt they are each other.

V99: No one with authority has said that Midna is evil, that's the only point I dissagree with you on.

Actually, it has been confirmed. Watch the IGN live footage, and you'll hear the translator say this at one point. That's not the only source, either. It was actually said the moment we learned about Midna, both immediately before and immediately after the third trailer was released. And I still maintain my uncertainty on the point of Link being the only one to transform while in the Twilight Realm. I distinctly remember Aonuma saying that "people" cannot maintain their natural form in the Twilight. To help with your point, Alehandro, where is this interview you quoted?

Also, according to this interview, Aonuma has already begun work on a Revolution Zelda! Rejoice! Well, it doesn't say that he's started on it yet... But the fact that he was assigned to it before this interview was even posted lends to the very high possibility that he has started on it by now.

Really? Hunh... oh well...

Although, I do know of an interview which says that Midna is looking out for herself, but doesn't say she's "evil."

Could you provide a link, and... wait... Is this "N-Sider" footage? I'm not loaded with cash, so I can't become a member of IGN. My computer isn't top-notch either. (Right now, it's running at 50 Kpb...)

Well, you would think that the triforce of all things would cause something like that, and it has been specualted in the past.

Well, since EA say the Wolf symbolise courage and mythical things (quite many things) the tridorce surely could have something to do with it. And, you know what, i just thought of this theory!!! Maybe Link doesnt turn into a wolf becouse of the twilight. Maybe it just was some creture or something that jumps on him or a magical spell or whatever. That would explain the wolf picture without midna and that it is(probebly) taken outside the twilight.

Im far from sure about this since i have heard that everyone is affected by the twilight

I'm pretty sure that the Twilight was the cause of Link's transformation. Perhaps after he learns what causes it, he can control it? It would be fun to morph into a wolf at will. ^_^

And no, Alehandro, I'm not an N-sider. I'm more broke than you are, most likely. It's open to the public. Personally, I'm surprised you haven't seen it. In particular, you'll want to watch parts 8-11. It shows off the horse combat in all its glory, and then you get to see a really cool chicken-match! There are some in the ZU media section, but the collection is missing a few of the videos. I'd look for them on IGN, but I already did for about twenty minutes, and still couldn't find them. I'll make another attempt later, but I gotta catch a Dart home right now. See ya!

Well, i mean, maybe a creature of the twilight or something like that?

Or maybe Ganondorf?

Maybe the reason link transforms, is that the twilight is evil and the triforce of courage is good, so the conflicting forces distort him, and so the same would apply for zelda and ganon/dorf

Yes... In Japanese mythology, the wolf normaly represents the hero.

Hmmm... I vaugely remember an interview that says that it isn't Link, as a person, that responds to the twilight... it's something given to him, or an outside force.

I'll start looking for a link.

That "outside force" is probably the triforce peice of courage.

Maybe Minda is Ganon. he has the triforce of power, he can change to want he wants because he turned to a puppet in WW. so maybe he is using link to get to zelda.

No, that will not be the case.

In an EGM interview, EA says that Link will be the only being that transforms in the twilight realm. Not to mention that, chances are, Ganon wouldn't turn into a small, female, imp-like creature.

Majora's mask was from Termina. . I doubt it will be in Hyrule. Even though that Mask salesman does seem to be able to travel between the two. The evil was dispelled though. .
