Midna Theories

I'm sure a lot of people here woll have thought about who Midna is i've seen a thread that says Midna is the master sword!

Anyway, I think Midna is zelda. now, most of you will probably say no that's too obvoius. but listen to this scenario:

We've all seen the trailer with the person in the cloak in the tower, in the twilight. First of all I think that is zelda. Ten one day she senses the triforce of courage (link) has been captured by the evil forces. So she goes to help, but takes the cloak off (I think the cloak kind of protects the wearer from the twilight realm) and turns into: *gasp* Midna.

Anyone wish to elaborate (sp?) on this? any theories of your own? Post em here.

p.s. Sorry if another thread like this has already been made, I a search and i couldn't see one.

Why would she be so... well, small and wimpy looking? In life she is tall and willowy. Even her boyish form, Shiek, was at least a little tall and strong.

Well, I kind of just wonder... what in the world would Zelda's form, if it were Midna, represent? Short, wears a big helmet. Purple-ish. Not a lot there.

Link's otherworld form, a wolf, represents his evil side, I'd say-- or his stealthy side, or his loner side. Whichever you relate him to.

Or maybe he was cursed into being a wolf, like deku link in MM. In that case, wolf link wouldn't represent anything at all and I've got no way of telling if Midna is Zelda...

My question is, what part of Zelda would Midna's form represent??

The part of Zelda that wants to go out in the world and help Link by actually being with him? Instead of just communicating telepathically like she normally does?

But we do not know what Zeldas or Midnas personality is like in this game. Its a diffrent Zelda so she could well have a diffrent personality, but I doubt it. I think Midna is someone else we will get to know in the story. We cant just try and link up whos who from the past games, this is a new game with more main characters.

I agree. I don't normally think into the games like that but sometimes Zelda just gets on my nerves because she doesn't go out and kick some ass!!!

I hate the fact that they're different Links and Zeldas in most of the games y'know? But that's just coz I don't like change, and I wont go into that here! ha ha!

Midna =/= Zelda. In the DS trailer-thing, it says Midna and Link are going to meet Zelda in whatever tower she's in.

Because we all know Zelda's never helped Link. She especially didn't go out as Sheik and help Link. The game was lying. And she also didn't help kill Ganondorf in WW. And in LOZ, she certainly didn't help when she split the triforce into 8 pieces to stop Ganon from conquering the world. Plus half the time she's captured. What's she gonna do? Walk through walls?

Maybe when they are supposedly meet Zelda in the tower, Midna would slip into the cloak thingy and reveal her true form to Link?

Oh, and I bet Midna is the Master Sword.

Maybe it was a mistranslation, but EA also stated that creatures from the twilight cannot transform he did not say that other creatures from the outside (if the first bit is a mistranslation) cannot transform either

This is disappointing. I thought the first poster after me would react to my comment on Midna's identity.

there are no evidence, it's only a theory.

I bet shes Majoras girlfriend or daughter that would be nice for Link a bit of nostalgia about the good old days

It's quite impossible for midna to be the master sword if one simply takes a look at the complete state of Midna's mask.

People all over the zelda fan base have used midna's yellow eye and her two pronged helm as reason to beleive that she transforms into the master sword when out of the twilight. Now, if you take a look at the complete mask/helm, you can cleary notice how midna's yellow eye is covered, as is most of her impish body, so the theory of her body being the hilt is now out of the window.

Also, it has been stated by the truest zelda experts themselves that Link is the only one able to transform when inside of the twilight.

Well if Midna isn't anything outside the twilight then what is she? What has she got to gain from helping link? What could majora possibly see in her?

I was actually joking. But, on the other side, you forget that Midna has been stated to turn into an item when she enter Hyrule.

But then, if that is the case Link can't meet Midna before AFTER the Forest Temple because he certainly don't have the Master Sword then.

Actually, I think the midna turning into an item thing is just an internet rumour, nothing has been confirmed by nintendo so i'm not gonna believe it... yet
