Re: Where did Valoo come from?

I guess Valoo was born on DragonRoost Island. And it is obvious that he is a dragon. (or a big lizard with wings )

Re: Where did Valoo come from?

Valoo is a guardian to the Rito Tribe and he is also the spirit of the skies. Its unknown of his real background, but many theories have linked him possibly with the the other dragon Volvagia from OoT. Apart from that Valoo's character remains to be rather anonymous.

It's possible he was around before the flood because he speaks Ancient Hylian.

Re: Where did Valoo come from?

There is a slight possiblity that TP could explain the origins of many of the elements of TWW, Valoo included.

Spoiler (Highlight to read):
There seems to be a Death Mountain area in TP, so perhaps Valoo, or the explination to why he even exists, is there

Re: Where did Valoo come from?

Yeh plus Have you seen volvagia, he looks more like a lizard, and Valoo doesn't look anything like him. And if they were related, wouldn't that make volvagia a god as well?

He didn't know that Wind Waker took place in Hyrule? The Great Deku Tree was a huge hint, if you haven't collected the Pearls yet. I thought it was obvious with him there.

Re: Where did Valoo come from?

Since the Ritos might have evolved from the Zoras maybe Valoo evolved from Lord Jabu Jabu. I doubt but, just decided to put that in as and unlikely theory.

Sorry man... but I'm going to have to nicely blow that one out of the water.

Valoo sits atop what used to be Death Mountain (So he has something to do with the general area), he's a fire breathing dragon (water is out of his "element"), and he's the one that gave the Rito the ability to fly, disconnecting them from their Zora heritage.

Not to mantion the fact that the Jabu-Jabu spot has already been taken by Jabun.

Maybe he was sent by the ancient gods of Hyrule to look after the Ritos. Also, my sister thinks that Valoo might be one of Volvagia's decendants, which is a possibility.

Re: Where did Valoo come from?

If he were one of Volvagia's decendants he would kill all the Ritos or eat them as Volvagia almost did in OOT

Well, actually no, there are a few that I can think of.

Mainly just the coincidence that two fire breathing dragons lived in the exact same area and they both have similar coloring and snout designs.

Re: Where did Valoo come from?

He can fly can't he? Who says he has to be seen in Ocarina of Time?

Besides that, I'd say he is a descendant of Volvagia
