A new race for TP

Everyone on all the other threads are talking about whether or not the Zoras, Gorons, Dekus, and Gerudos are going to be in TP.

We know that TP "Might" be inbetween Oot and WW, they could do alot more if they don't put it inbetween Oot and WW, but time will tell.

So how about a new race for TP, animals are playing a big part in this game, and they are trying to make it "Kind" of real like, with the graphics and game engin, there is a political structure in this game, like, the mayor sending Link to hyrule, and the King of Hyrule, and I read before E3 that someone said about the "Leaders of Hyrule to meet at the castle and discuss the growing darkness".

So whats the possibilites of having more races added in TP, I think there will be more, a flying race would be neat, and that done could add a "Sky Temple" and the "Rocs Cape".

Well the Ritos could fit in that category. I know they are not a new race but they had alot of unreached potential in The Wind Waker. If their orgins are fully explored, it would provide great backstory to the game.

Actually they are the only race I'd be interested to see return.... And maybe the Gerudos

I'd really love to see Zoras, and I think we will because Eiji Aonuma hinted about that in last months EGM. I also think the Zoras will return because in one of the slighltly recent screenshots we see Link swimming in an area that looks like it would be well-suited as a new Zora's Domain. The Gerudos are also sekzy beasts and should return for my sexual entertainment (kidding...?). I don't think Rito should return because they don't seem well fitted for a realistic game, however some type of airborne race would be appreciated by Zelda fans.

Although I sincerely enjoy every zelda race (except for ritos... bleargh) I think a new race would be... repetitive of Nintendo. If there is a new race, however, it would probably have to do with that walking tree we saw in one of the earlier pics. Or it could do with spirits of this and that... I don't think Nintendo has played that particular Zelda card for quite some time.

As for why I hate Ritos...

It was a flawed idea in the first place! More water=better living for Zoras right? Then why fly? Are they TRYING to recieve challenges in life or what?

And, WW had more water?

Definately the Kokiris! *If* it is between the OoT and WW then they wouldnt be Koroks yet.(yay) Maybe there will be a Lost Woods again or some sort of haven for the lil guys and maybe you get your tunic from them too! Nintendo did say familiar races, we definately know Gorons and they said most likely Zoras.

I dont really like the Rito, I hope they arent in it. Just my opinion....

And yes, there is more water in WW, they lived on an ocean and Hyrule had been flooded over. Seems like quite a bit more to me.

I think it'd be awsome if they had all the races from all the zelda games in TP.

Why would you need more the originals are the best; Hylians, Zoras, Gorons, Moblins and Gerudos, kokiri and faries all the others are cheap rip offs

Sorry, but Gorons and Gerudos weren't in The Legend of Zelda. And how are the other races cheap? I can somewhat understand the Tokays or Koroks, but the Ritos were an excellent race in my opinion. Hardly a "rip off".

Well the fact that TWW was one of the worst Zelda games made in my opinion so this includes that all the races in that game are cheap rip offs. Anyway I ment to say was the main/original races.

Whoops, pass the dunce cap. My mistake. I should've provided a link to the screen I was talking about, but SOF beat me to it. Anyway, I thought the Rito were kind of freaky and I didn't like them very much. Zoras and Gorons are my favorites but I would like to see a new original race.

I agree, Nintendo tried something new, and it did alright, but crap in my opinion.

What about adding Subrossa?

No scan, but issue number and exact quote:

EGM #195, Eiji Aonuma said "...Because it [Twilight Princess] is several decades after Ocarina, it's possible some of the characters from that game might still be alive in this world. We've already shown the Goron in an earlier trailer; I think people can look forward to seeing if we include Zoras as well..." Nothing else official has been said regarding the Zoras.

What about some kind of holy people that can speak to like farore, if Link met them in a hidden village. And then Farore could give Link tips on his adventure.

What race are the villagers of Tauru? they have rounded ears, so theyu can't be Hylians...

I was going to say but someone already metioned it: There are Gorons in TP. The scene I saw had Link fighting one (Not as a wolf) and the goron punched him. Is this the only scene?

Well, here's my ideas for new races. These are actual races in my fan-fic The Shattered Sword...

The Madra: A desert people who resemble Hylians but wear thick robes the color of sand. They also wear gas masks and gloves to completely hide themselves. Think the little guys Yorart had from Spaceballs, but bigger.

The Shana: Mystic people with the powers of phrophesy. They are all blind, and wear hoods to hide their sightless eyes.

To answer your first questions, I think Taoru (not Tauru like you said) Village citizens are a little race I like to call human forgive the sarcasm. Also, the Gorons have already been confirmed for TP. They look amazing, don't they?

Why not Din or Nayru HA?!
They're just as important. And you know Link mightn't even get the triforce in this game. Anyway a God wouldn't give anyone tips on how to play and if they did that would be stupid because then the game would be childish again. With the exception of OoT when you didn't need to talk to saria.
