My storyline theory

We all have our own storyline guesses, but none as crazy as mine. Read on.

We all know how the game starts. If you don't, what's the matter with you, and stop reading this.

WHAT WE KNOW:
After you do the goat-wrangling stuff in the beginning, Ilia, the mayor's daughter, has a fiery conversation with you and her father. She takes Epona away because you hurt her jumping gates. Then her father, the mayor, tells you you'll need to find her in order to get to the Hyrule Summit. After you find her with the aide of a boy named Colin, boar-riding fools enter your village through the secret backpath. They abduct Colin and Ilia, although Ilia may be dead. We don't know yet. The boar-dude leader, the Moblin King, blows a horn and a portal appears in the sky. When Link wakes up from his horrific encounter with the boars, he runs out of the now-not-so-secret-secret entrance to Toaru Village in pursuit of the moblins. He stops at a black gap that was never there before and a hand reaches out and grabs him.

WHAT I THINK:
...Or at least, what I'm speculating on. Anyway, I believe that after the hand reaches out and grabs Link, the Twilight Realm (or whoevers controlling it, at any rate) now knows that there are people nearby so it expands and siezes Toaru Village. Link is turned into a wolf for the first time and soon guards from the Twilight Castle (the castle seen in the trailers) find him and throw him in the dungeons of the castle. Midna meets him here and is at first very cruel and mocking to him, but then notices the Triforce logo on his head. Interested, she tells him that she can break him out of the castle if he can assist her in a quest. Link agrees (without speaking, of course) and Midna hops atop his back, using her magic and your force to break from the dungeon. Midna and you escape from the castle, but not exactly unnoticed, so people are now looking for you in the Twilight Realm. Midna says she can help you break out of the Twilight Realm if you can come back and help her with her quest later. You agree and Midna tells you about the moblins you saw earlier and that they have to travel to different locations to open up portals and expand the Twilight Realm. She says they'll probably be headed to the Forest Temple next so if you want to save Colin and stop the realm from expanding you should go there. She also gives you the tunic and tells you to wear it so you'll fit in with a village, you're "spat" back out of the Twilight Realm but you have to flee to the forest.

Alright, now here's where my major theory starts. **POSSIBLE SPOILER**
They always have Zelda use a secret identity right? Sheik, Tetra...Midna. Ha ha. Yeah, I said it. I think that Zelda no barely exists in the human world anymore. I know that the cloak she has in the Twilight Realm keeps her from transforming, and when she does take it off, she becomes something not quite human but not quite a beast. Midna. Why wouldn't she become an animal like Link? Well, the Twilight reached out and grabbed Link, but what if someone who is already inside changes? This is my theory. And as for the "Midna exists in the loosest possible sense of existing" theory, I believe she would exist as the Trifore of Wisdom, or they might do something about her existing inside you (Link).

How can Zelda be Midna? Link and Midna are on their way to meet Zelda (in the Twilight Realm)...so that couldn't happen. And if you want to know, I got this information from the Twilight Princess DS demo thing. Also, the cloak thing has never been confirmed. All Aonuma's said is that she's wearing it for mourning reasons...and he's also said Link is the only thing that transforms in the TR. I'm glad he did...shot all those Midna=Sword theories to hell.

What I really want to know, is how Link gets his tunic. He gets pulled into the Twilight Realm wearing his village clothes (and I'm guessing he transforms, since he's in the TR)...but in the E3 trailer it shows him tranforming in his tunic...?

As a theory, it is as good as any other I've heard so far, except when it comes to identifying Zelda and Midna. Eiji Aonuma once said that Midna is an evil creature with an agenda of her own that joins forces with Link hoping he can help her be sucessful in her schemes. I really don't think that Zelda would be evil in any way, so I can't really accept that (unless of course, she was under some nefarious influence, but even that strikes me as a bit odd...)

Well, at this point, we don't know very much about the early storyline. (Other than the boar battle) So, your guess is as good as mine.

The problem with Zelda transforming is that in an interview, EA said that Link will be the only thing able to transform due to the twilight.

As for Midna being the Triforce of Wisdom... eh... Midna seems too impish to be the incarnation of the Triforce.
