The Final Battle.

In The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, where should the final battle take place, who should be the final boss, and what should the final battle be like?

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and The Wind Waker are known to have the greatest final battles in the Zelda series. Now tell us your final battle fantasy for the Twilight Princess. Go into every detail, and the final boss does not have to be Ganon or a past boss. You can make up your own as long as it is believable.

Considering that the Twilight Princess is not Zelda or Midna and that she is a villian, I would like her to be the final boss. I want her to look similiar yet different from Ganondorf. I want her to have the evil eyes, dark armor, and a faded skin tone. She has to look intimidating like Ganon did in Ocarina of Time.

I want the final battle to take place on top of the Twilight Castle (in the Twilight Realm) or maybe in Link's home town after being infected and overrun by the Twilight Realm (since Nintendo did confirm that the Twilight Realm spreads). That would make for an intense and emotional final battle. I stole that idea off of the final battle in Legend of Legaia by the way. The scenery must be dark which shouldn't be a problem since the Twilight Realm is so dark, however, I don't want Zelda to be there with you. When she is in the scene, you fell comfirt.The final battle should be dark with nothing to comfirt like. Some else has to be going on in the battle though to add to the intensity ala the water crashing down as you fight Ganon in The Wind Waker. Maybe people close to Link are in major trouble as Link fights. Something to make you say "I need to beat her so I can save them". It would also be cool if the final battle took place on your horse on the first phase, and the 2nd phase was as wolf Link, and the 3rd phase was on foot as regular Link. I want something intense!

I like the idea you have with the 'phases'. I'd like to see/experience an epic final battle on horseback which eventually leads you into a chase of some sort...or maybe you're the one running away? o_0...Though the final 'phase' should be with link in his human form. I'm not sure about Midna being the final boss still, it doesn't seem like she'd be it...i think there's going to be some huge twist that we haven't thought of just yet, have to wait and see :p

YOu walk in to the twilight castle throne room to meet with Who ever the final boss may be. a short boss monologue .
then a battle between good and evil then a pause after you open a can on the boss. the boss fleas from battle and runs up through the castle into a higher room like gannondorf is in OoT.
when you enter that room the boss turns and cracks a wicked smile another monologue and part two begins, but this time the boss twilights you and you turn into wolf link.
a quick battle then goes into frantic chaos. you open yet another can of wup butt on the boss.
the boss collapses and the castle begins to crumble......
this would i great time for nintendo to throw in a curve ball and make Link Say "Wait that was a load bearing boss" ......sorry for the inside joke.. back to the fight.

Link charge down the castle as it crumbles around him battling enemies on the way. you run out of the castle still in wolf mode. when you here a horrifying laugh the screen turns and you see the floating body of the boss which suddenly becomes covered in twilight turnning it into the biggest boss ever. as -Zora- said a nice chase would be cool. link turns and runs from the boss. as the chase continues the camera is looking back so link is running toward you as you watch in panic the boss slowly gaining on you. At the last moment when you think the boos as you. both you and the boss break through a rift sending you back to the normal world. Link morphs back to Himself and the boss explodes in darkness and is forced back into his normal self. thus the epic battle goes on in the middle of hyrule field. Just as your about to land then finishing blow Zelda comes in and aids you not that it helps but helps anyway. the boss once again cracks a wicked smile and says something like "Let it Begin" the boss rushes zelda knocking her out and draws the power of triforce out. Link then rushes in to stop him but is knocked down as well..............the end of windwaker suddenly comes back in your mind....
The boss probabale Ganondorf takes links piece of triforce and summons the whole thing together. then the big wish ismade and the skybecomes dark and it begins to ran. Link summons his last strength and pulls the master sword and smashes his triforce piece trying to stop the enevitable but fails and the final battle once again picks up. the the final blow Link and Zelda seal Ganondorf away but lives theirs lives in darkness as the rains that eventually will be and ocean come down apon Hyrule...The End

This i believe could be a possable ending for twilight Princess....

Izaac thats awsome... thinking about it it could be the end since the raining thing is a good detail and since in the WW the triforce of courage is broken.. thinking about it that is the end fot the twilight princess

I don't actually care, only it is harder than ww since it was way to easy, but if I had to choose, I would prefere Ganon. And it would have to be a gigantic swordbattle.

i reread my post and thought about some more nintendo should through in a massive cliffhanger for the ending. the final stage of the battle takes place during the ending credits and when the time for the final blow comes right be fore your sword hits Ganon the screen flashes and The End comes up

Thanks, but I never said the Midna was going to the the final boss.

I wouldn't want a cliffhanger ending in any Zelda game. That would make the whole adventure seem pointless.

I am really, sincerely, truthfully, hoping that it is not Ganon(dorf). I know he's already been confirmed for the game, which is okay. I wouldn't mind having him as a side villian or as the second-in-command, but I really did like how he wasn't even mentioned in Majora's Mask. That game showed that Eiji Aonuma was ballsy enough to switch up the bad guys.

I don't believe Midna is the main bad guy, because I have a huge theory on her that I'll probably make a completley new topic on. But anyway, here goes.

I still don't know who I want the boss to be, but I can imagine a perfect setting. I want the last subdungeon (hopefully like Ganon's Tower in OoT) to be done in wolf form, and then you enter the final door after beating all these challenges. Then you see the final boss in his or her Twilight transformation, and he does a technique that prevents Midna from helping you. Personally I think a mythical creature would suit the boss well as their transformation. Anyway you fight the boss as a wolf in a dark, black-and-white cell and then the cell forms color after you beat him. The cell begins to change into a much large room and you and the boss change back into humans. Cutscene time.
A giant pillar falls from the sky and the boss takes flight to the top. Then there will be some mystery about the landscape that you'll need to use, perhaps cut down the pillar until you can reach the boss with the sword. I need to give it some more thought.

Ok, the only thing I really want for this final battle, is for Ganon(dorf) to not be the final boss. ...I actually wouldn't mind Midna to be the final boss, but I'd still like an epic sword fight.

I hope Ganon is one of the bosses, but not the final boss. An epic sword battle with Ganon is what most Zelda fans want.

I would like to see Ganon as a final boss no a simple boss. And i'd like to see Link facing Ganon with the help of Sheik that could be cool.

Oh, oh, I came up with a new boss battle. Believe it or not but I wrote a little Zelda story on my computer when I was like seven, and there's actually some really cool stuff in there, so I'm incooporating one of my ideas from it.

Ok, it starts out like this: after beating the bosses little mini dungeon, you run out into Hyrule Field and a cutscene takes place. You see the final boss (for now I'll just say its Ganondorf even though I really want it to be someone else but can't think of anyone right now) and he's standing in the middle of a huge line of about a hundred of those ugly Twilight Realm creatures. He sends them to attack you and flees to a nearby village on his horse. You have to get on Epona and follow him, slashing the Twilight creatures when they come close, then dismount Epona and run into the town after him. He goes into a nearby bell tower (maybe a church, but in my fanfic I have bell tower) and slams the door. You go to open it put when you do one of those big black hands from the trailer at the end of Taoru Village reaches out and grabs you, transforming you into a wolf (Midna is not with you at this point, I think it would be really dramatic and cool if the final boss killed her before this battle). You have to chase him up a flight of stairs, biting and attacking him as fast as you can. When you do this enough times, he fleese into a nearby room. As you enter, he begins using black magic to huck stuff at you, and you (still in wolf form) have to manage to hit it back at him, just like Ganondorf in OoT. Once he falls you begin slashing him and repeat the process a couple of times. Then he decides he doesn't have enough power left to sustain the Twilight portal that keeps you as a wolf so he breaks it and you transform back into human Link, but he flees from the room up a flight of stairs. However, he's much to fast this time around for you to keep up, so you have to throw your Boomerang at the stairs in front of him to make him fall, and then he flies back up with black magic and you have to repeat the process a couple times until he gets to the roof where the bell is. A cutscene takes place and Link draws his sword, looking around as he enters the rooftop. The boss drops from above and kicks Link, then draws his sword. Now its an all out sword fight and there are two ways to kill the boss now, ultimatley resulting in different beginnings of the cutscene after you defeat him. The first way is to simply kill him in a sword battle, the second way is to run over to the gigantic stone bell (it is a bell tower, after all) and wait until he's on the opposite side, then smash the bell into him a couple times until he's too weak to keep his balance, in the end flying off the roof.

Cue the two seperate beginnings of the final cutscene:
Beginning #1: If you simply schooled him with your fancy sworldplay, a scene takes place where Link slashes him a couple times and then something happens with Zelda that lets you seal him back to the Sacred Realm.
Beginning #2: You see him go flying but then cling to the roof with one hand. You see Link walk up and look at him with fury, stomp on his hand and let him go flying to the ground where Zelda seals him back up.

All in all, I think its a pretty cool idea for a battle. But you guys can be the judges of that.

how about this...

link runs into a room to fight ganon like he always does. he has a hard time and suddenly Johnny Cash and Carrot Top appear to help him. they put on the fusion earings and become Carrot Cash. they easily destroy ganon and banish him to narnia. then tom cruise mia sara and a unicorn appear and scream at him "Copycat!". link then slits thier insolent throats and turns around. zelda is naked. "now may I have the continum triforceifier?" she asks." Not quite yet" he replies. link awakens as a bunny rabbit and sees his uncle running outside into the pelting rain. "well, i cant wait to find out how THAT story ends" he says to himself as he runs out side. "hmmm i'm hungry... i could use some carrots! but where will i find the cash?"...

My fight would take place between Ganondorf as a human at first, and Ganon second stage.

As Link finishes a Twilight version of Ganon's tower, though it is in the twilight realm, Link is not a wolf throughout the tower. Link enters to find Ganondorf with a smug, unsuprised look. A monologue ensues, as Ganondorf explains that he used his own magic to draw Link to him, and allow him to keep his human form throughout the tower. Ganondorf then goes onto insult, or taunt, or threaten Link, and reveals Zelda and Ilia trapped in crystal, (Who we discover is the [Ilia] Twilight Princess, though unknown to almost everyone before) as the Key to Ganondorf's dark designs. Link is overcome with emotion and rushes Ganondorf, and is quickly blasted with magic, and a laugh from Ganondorf. Ganondorf produces one more monologue, and the fight begins.

At the first stage of the fight, you are turned into a wolf. Ganondorf uses his magic to constantly bombard you with Twilight, and magic, as well as a sword. (Let him have only one sword this time, it makes for a much more balanced fight.) His attacks are limited, and the fight becomes much of a Hit-Ganondorf-While-He's-Charging-Magic fight. as you do this, you eventually hit him enough and it cuts to a side scene, where Ganondorf manages to kill/injure Midna off of Wolf Link's back, but as a side from your attacks, the Twilight is also Dispelled, because Ganondorf can no longer keep up the required energy to produce it.

Second stage of the fight is the much looked forward too sword fight. It's a showdown between Ganondorf and Link. Link and Ganon simply have a sword fight, Ganon with choice sword and Link with kind of a simple sword. the fight progresses for some time where you fight for say 12 or so hits on Ganondorf, because it cuts to another side scene where Ganondorf says that it is useless to continue fighting him without the Master Sword. Only a blade that shines with the power to destroy evil can defeat him. It is then that the essence of Midna, with a short emotional message reveals itself to be the Master Sword, and that the death of Midna was a necessary Fate to reveal the true power at the right moment. You are then equipped with the Master Sword and you regain control of Link in the fight against Ganondorf for a short time. 3 or so hits later, This stage of the fight ends.

The final stage of the boss battle has Ganondorf transforming into Ganon, and a crazy background alteration. The background in which you are fighting in is a constantly changing one, where every few moments a flash consumes the screen and you are in another past Location of the legendary Ganon/Link showdowns. Other areas are included in these changes too, Like Link's home village, and perhaps the Kokori forest. All the background changes are just illusions, happening because of the twilight magic coming out of Ganondorf using the triforce to become Ganon. Link is unaffected because of the power of the MS. All the while, the black, tentacle creatures seen in the trailer demos of Twilight Princess are dropping from the sky as side enemies and distractions during the fight. They also drop arrows and magic containers.

Link must use the light arrows again in this battle. In order to Damage Ganon, you must fire a light arrow at his face, and use a parry attack in order to hit him, again in the face, by slashing him in the face with his sword. This will be tough because L targetting will make you fire arrows into his stomach, doing no damage, and only producing a slight reaction. Ganon will always rush you, and slash at you with his claws, sword, tail and bite you with his teeth. This form will also use some magic in the case that all you do is run far from him. The more damge he takes, the tougher he gets. All of his attacks are dodged in a different way, and that is up to you to figure out, But you can't dodge everything the same. this fight is difficult, and long lasting, but should leave you feeling like you accomplished somethign difficult in the end.

As your final attack with Ganon is over, A cut scene takes place in which Link is dodging an attack by Ganon, and the shadow creatures manage to knock link down, and seemingly unconcious. Ganon reverts to Ganondorf, who summons the Triforce with his back turned to fallen Link. Just as Ganondorf believes he has won, a Light arrow strikes the back of Ganondorf, and he stumbles forward shocked. The screen then shows Link, bow in hand, MS in scabbard, and three fallen shadow creatures around him, breaking into mist. Link Fires another arrow, shattering the triforce of courage into 8 pieces, scattering them far across the land. The other two pieces, return to their owners, Zelda and Ganondorf. Zelda and Ilia appear, free from their Crystals, and begin to hold Ganondorf with their magic, as Link rushes Ganondorf with the Master Sword, and stabs his through the chest, even though Ganondorf put his hand in the way to block it. The stab ends up banishing Ganondorf back into the dimension between dimensions, and because he pierced the hand of Ganon, where his triforce lay, the sword seals the magic held within the hand, but not enough that Ganondorf dies.

As in OoT style, we see Ganon in the dimension between, holding his broken triforce, most of it's magic sealed away, Monologing about Link and the Princess.

Hyrule floods because of the wrath of the gods. . rather then a final wish from human kind. Humans have destroyed the sacred icon, and now the land is to be eternally sunk beneath the waves. The Gods do not destroy Hyrule though, because this would have been the wish granted to the last one who touched the sacred icon. Wrath and spite. . Humans are too suffer an entirely new life upon mountain tops. Zoras are cursed to becoming Rito, as Hyrule is now forbidden.

From thereon in, make your own ending with typical Zelda storyline between Link and Zelda and other Characters (The twilight Sages?)

Just before you head to the final dungeon you have to fight zelda becuase "she wants to test your strength before you fight Ganon".

She attacks you only with magical attacks but you beat her easy and then she transforms in some sheik-type dude and now the real battle begins because she uses very damaging physical attacks (short and long range) and has a hell of speed.

After kicking her butt she allows you to go into Ganons tower but she dosent want to go with you becuase Ganon could take her prisoner and make things much harder so she stays behind.

Eventually you get to Ganondorf and he tells you the usual speech about the triforce and hyrule and blah blah blah.

A very cool battle begins and when you win a cinema starts where you are going to give ganondorf the final blow but Zelda suddenly appears and claims Ganondorfs piece of triforce as her own (Ganondorf couldnt do anything about it as he was too weak) . She then explains that she dosent want her bloodline to continue with this "curse" over and over so she is going to gather the triforce and wish for the three of them to be banished from existence (or just frozen or something).

Link sense a little evil within zelda and draws his sword, Zelda then laughs and says:
"With the power of the 2 triforces you are no match for me, and besides....."
She summons the twilight, somehow Link manages to stay in his normal form (because of an item he obtained earlier or something) but zelda transforms into a very big, powerfull, angel type woman.

Get ready to fight a boss much more powerful than Ganon
