magic

I was watching some gameplay footage movies in gamespot and i thoght of something. There is a clip with link taking out his lantern to see in the dark, and a yellow meter on the top left corner of the screen appeared.... probly resembling the oil for the lantern. the meter reminded me of the magic meter in the rest of the zelda games. now i havent heard anything on the magic for TP, maybe there isnt any magic in TP........ but thats ridiculous zelda wouldnt be zelda without magic,
Heres another thing, when link aquires the gale boomerang he can transform it into a twister of some sort, now wouldnt you think you have to use magic to do that. maybe its just an item that you dont need magic forI dont know. I'm Not sure if theres magic in TP but i sure hope there is.

Re: magic

The boomerang has magic in itself. I think you will use magic but you wont get it right at the start in the demos.

I also want to see magic in Twilight Princess, but there have been Zelda games without magic such as The Minish Cap, The Legend of Zelda, Link's Awakening, Oracle of Season, and Oracle of Ages.

Re: magic

I think magic will play a big part in TP like some f inks weapons have new magic upgrades i doubt we can judge on what weve seen so far and like Nikyo youl prolly get ur magic bar/powers later on when you get a lil deeper into the story of the game and the plot begins to unfold etc

Well, at this point, we just don't know. I suppose we can refrence gameplay screens, and then check to see if it's there.

Here's another thing:
When link aquires the Gale Boomerang, he can transform it into a twister of some sort. Now, wouldn't you think that magic would be required? Perhaps it's an item that you don't need magic for, but I dont know.
Well, if the "twister" was an optional feature of the boomerang, then yes, I would probably say that it requires magic. However, it seems to be an automatic function, and if you put it in context with all other automatic functions of items in previous games, I would think that it doesn't.

BTW- I edited you post for spelling and grammar.

Re: magic

Well, considering the Twilight is "fueled by evil magic" as Eiji Aonuma once said, it's plausible Link will have to learn some magic of his own in order to fend off the incoming darkness. Although we haven't seen any magic bar in the E3 footage, I'm guessing Link will find a way to use it as his epic adventure progresses...

Re: magic

I don't think there will be a "Magic Metre" as such in TP but the items will still be Magical. It's just becoming more realistic. You wont ever see Gandalf our Houdini walking around with a magic metre floating around above their heads. The Gale 'Rang is a house to the wind sprite as well. Using it should take magic points but as far as I can tell, they won't be needed.

And in Ocarina of Time, any automatic magic item used magic
The Gale 'Rang is powered up before you fire it, so you can have it without the gale if you want.

Re: magic

Yeah I don't think they've made a 3-d Zelda without the magic meter yet.

very smooth.

i think they will have magic, cause if the only bar there is is to show how much oil is left, why wouldnt they just leave it on the screen, instead of having it disappear.
