I've heard a rumour that volvagia (the beast of the fire temple on Oot)has a descendant on WW in the form of the gentle valoo.
The dragon that nests on top of dragon roost mountain is said 2 have descended from volvagia, i'm not sure iff it is his descendant or his spirit in a kinder form... wot do u think???????? |

Re: volvagia's decendant!
Do you speak like that in public? I am tired of seeing chatspeak...seriously, is it so hard to re-read what you are typing and actually spell words. I would hate to have seen your English grades. Just read it out loud and look at how it makes you look like an ass.
This may be a decendant. So? Valoo is a good guy and Volgagia is an enemy. I thought that too and I think it is stupid to state what is most likely obvious knowing that there really is no other big red dragon in OoT, so that must be where he is from, or Valoo just flew from another land. I hope we will find out this in TP...It will be a nice little story, wouldn't it? Did you notice that Jabun IS Jabu-Jabu? And they look nothing alike, but it states it in Nintendo's Official Players Guide for TWW. Last edited by Dark King of Hyrule; 09-05-2005 at 12:34 PM.. Reason: addition |

Re: volvagia's decendant!
There's already been a thread about this kind of stuff made, and it's basically always going to say the same stupid things. Valoo is somehow Volvagia's decendant, though I really don't see how. Volvagia is a modern take off the traditional Chinese dragon where Valoo's a winged dragon from European folk lore and fairytales. But anyway, these retard threads need to stop, and you need to quit whoring up the forums with chat speak. *grump face*

Re: volvagia's decendant!
Nah, its more possible that the Wind Temple boss is the decendant of Volvagia.. You know, the same moves, doing the same things as Volvo(I call him that.) 'n other stuff. You know... Flying up, flying down in the fire/sand, come up, get hurt, dissappear, fly up again ect. It's the same damn things!

Re: volvagia's decendant!
One thing that I would like to point out (and hopefully provide some food-for-thought) is that, if this game takes place between OoT and WW, then we'd see Volvagi's descendant, as in the in-between between Volvagia and Valoo.
Although they are both red dragons, I don't personally believe them to be related. First off, how would Volvagia be able to breed and actually get descendants if Link kills the only one in OoT? And how would Valoo become gentle, as he's a by-product of Ganon's dark regenerative magic being worked on a partially deceased dragon? Also, I'd like to know how Dekus got wiped out. YES, there is already that in a thread, but twilight Princess could illustrate it a bit, right?

Re: volvagia's decendant!
In one of the Comics it had that when Link was a child he bought a small dragon off a man becuase he felt sorry for it. Its name was Volvagia. They became good friends and the Dragon managed to say "Link" but when Link went away for 7 years Ganon trained this this fully grown dragon to be evil and made him fight Link and the dragon doesnt remember Link and just as he kills it the Dragon says "Link" and dies.
Anyway no I dont think he is a decendant. Becuase he killed it and there was no other Dragon to breeed with, also Valoo was a Sky God. |

Re: volvagia's decendant!
Most likely, Nintendo made Valoo similar to Volvagia in name and color just as a cool reference to Ocarina of Time, and there isn't any explanation within the Zelda universe as to why they are similar. Maybe all dragons from Hyrule are red, and the names are similar due to how the Hylian language works. I don't see how Valoo could have descended from Volvagia seeing as how Volvagia was extinct before and after Ocarina of Time, and Valoo is sentient while Volvagia seemingly isn't.

Re: volvagia's decendant!
I keep seeing these same topics popping up, just a different user creating them and a slightly modified introduction and topic name. O_o
Volvagia and Valoo could be related, who knows? I highly doubt that they are related though. Well, they could be. Nintendo might release a full story on this one day. Volvagia was a baddie, and Valoo wasn't bad at all. Plus, Valoo was a Sky God, and Volvagia was just a dragon. Volvagia died, and I doubt that he bred with another dragon to continue his blood line. Well, then again. They're both dragons, and they're red. But like Hylian Dan said, all dragons from Hyrule might be red. But, I don't know. They could be related. I doubt it's the same dragon though. Link killed Volvagia, so it probably couldn't be him.
