I just had a huge thought... I bet...

That had Link been adult in cel-shading, half or more of the people who complained about it, wouldnt have complained NEARLY as much.... I'd be interested in seeing what he looked like too!

Your right there, but im not so sure.....Nintendo fans still half of them hate the WInd Waker..They'd play it but they wouldn;t like it!

I completely disagree. If Adult Link was done in the same style, he would look down right stupid. Imagine the guy with the suspenders on Windfall...now put Link's features on that.

Yes i agree with Searanon a link Cel-Shaded would never work, it would look extremely awful no matter what they try to make him look cool.

actually, there is a Cellshaded picture of Adult link out there, i don't know if it is real, but it used the same kind of art that the official Nintendo art used for WW. i think it is supposed to be the next link for WW2. i will give a link to it....i hope, in another upcoming post, i have to find it first, and it is on another forum, but not these.

that should take you to it. i am not sure if it is a real Official picture or not, but like i said above, it uses the same style that Nintendo used for the offical art for WW.

It just doesn't work that way. The whole feel of the game is child-like and mischevious, and that's why it can even pull off cel-shading graphics to begin with. Lose that, and you lose everything else in Wind Waker.

You make a very good point, Searano. Still, I'm going to have to disagree. First of all, who's to say Link would have the exact same body structure. I mean, if we're talking about Adult Link at age 17 or 18, he'd be much younger than that man.

Secondly, I found some charcter designs at Zelda Chaos which show WW Link a little older. I think they look pretty cool. They can be found at:

Finally, I do agree with Blue Taboo that part of what makes the Wind Waker great is the child-like aspect. Still, I do think it would look cool if they made Wind Waker Link an adult. So, I guess I'm fine with whatever they do in WW 2. Good for me!

What's all this talk of WW2? If such a thing were to happen...ugh...It'd be just as abominable as FFX2. Zelda is a series of separate games...and I'd even go so far as to say that Majora's Mask and the Ocracles have violated this before...but...no! They screwed around enough with Zelda once...now show me what that GameCube can do with the next one...

Okay, the first picture posted was fake. The second is concept designs from the Zelda Box. Now, Blue Taboo, the next Zelda game will continue on from TWW, much like Majora's Mask did from OoT.

Some of "us" FF purists are bitter over the fact that they've broken from tradition to produce a "true" sequel to a title. Many have made the observation that this only took place after Sakaguchi discontinued his involvement.

<shameless plug> Zelda Chaos actually got those images through the site that I work with, and as Mercutio stated, they're from Zelda Box.

If I recall from the brief translation that's been done thusfar, the first image in that set is an adult version inspired by MM's Link, while the later adult models are intended as a more true, unique Wind Waker form. I actually wouldn't mind seeing some of the sketches realized in the next game.

Mercutio...as much as what you're saying irks me...care to say where you're getting this from exactly? I haven't heard such a thing, but then again, I haven't been listening for it lately.

I personally think an adult cel Link would look like a retarded monkey in a sock which was dipped in hot acid beat with a stick smashed by a semi truck chewed on by a baby and put in some water with electricity going through it! I hate that, I liked the graphics for WW but I only want to see them once, im sick of them, I want to see the Link in the space world movie. A guy wrote about the preview and was expecting a huge beautiful world with fields, forests, mountains, deserts, swamps and many more places. But then WW came out and the only enviroment their was was sea, sea, sea, sea and more sea. The only other enviroments were a forset and a mountain. That was it. Sea was just too empty, there was many chances for exploration but nothing but plain sea to explore then every once in a while youd find a very small pointless island. If it had less sea and more places to explore it would be much funner. And it was only fun to explore when you wanted to explore and not get to a certain location.

Whoa I got off topic but I just really hate another cel Link. Especially if its an adult. Thats my oppinion. And thats all I have to say about that.
