A Wind Waker thought about King *SPOILER!!!*

I'll just get right down to the dirt. If you go into the room with the Master Sword, look at all the stained glass windows until you find Raru, the sage of light. Doesn't he just look so familiar? *cough cough like the King of Red Lions cough cough* No wonder he knows Jabun? But did Raru and Jabu-Jabu ever really meet up? (Jabun is Jabu-Jabu's reincarnation from my point of view.) Post your thoughts.

You're right, the king does look a little bit like Rauru, but I doubt he is. Until Nintendo adds something about their relationship to the story, we may not know.

I dont think the king a rauru are the same person even though they look really similar

the king looks like that in TMC so maybe its just a smiple design they like to use for old, important people

rauru does look like him I think, you have to look at it from graphics view. If they made rauru in windwaker what would he look like?

Well despite numerous similarities between the two I dont believe they are the same person. I mean in terms of appearance, yes they are quite similar, but there are many dissimilar aspects to consider. Rauru was merely an ancient sage, and long ago he helped construct the Temple of Time of Light. Its believed Rauru sealed his spirit in the Temple of Light for a Hero one day with a destiny to save Hyrule from Ganon's evil designs. The King however is merely just a King, the King of Hyrule at the time of when the Great Flood occured that washed away Hyrule.

The similarity of them both being able to reform the appearance of something else (eg. the King of Red Lions and Rauru possibly Kaepora Gaebora?) is I guess a convincing similarity. But really they are not the same person in my opinion, a sage cannot become a prestigious King, but I see where you're point of view is coming from. The relation between Jabun & Jabu-Jabu is not really known, its possible Jabun is a reincarnation of Jabu-Jabu or a mere descendant. Jabu-Jabu was a legendary, fish deity and highly esteemed by the Zora Race, i doubt Rauru met with Jabu-Jabu.

They are both Hylian wise men, and very fat and bearded. But that's about it. I think Rauru has croaked by now.

Can sages actually die if their spirit is locked in the Sacred Realm?
Because if Link could be harmed in the Sacred Realm it probably would have made OoT a very short game.

I think if Rauru was still alive, we would see him in TWW. He is too important a character to not get involved in the sealing of Hyrule, and TWW. So my conclusion is: his cholesterol got to him. Quite dead.

I think the stained glass windows made a point about OoT, Link and the Seven Sages have become ledgendary figures, and are long dead. I think Fado and Laruto are more recent, and they wanted to linger until a new sage was chosen, then they would rest in peace.

Well put Feline Witch! I was extatic to see the sages in WW. I just sat and stared at them for, like, an hour each, analyzing them, looking at the medallions, stuff like that. Yes, they are all dead by now, but Rauru...If he could survive from when the temple of time was built to when Link was sealed in the Sacred Realm, who knows how long he can stick it out. Personally, I hated the guy, no offence. He bugged me. Whenever it came time for him to talk in OoT, I read his lines to my brother in a Californian surfer accent. "Dude, you are the Hero of Time, seriously!" It was a riot!

If Rauru is the king and KORL, he has a LOT of identites, for he is also Kaepori Gaebori, the owl, though I forgot where I heard that.


And WHY do you think Rauru is gay?

He isn't. Raru isn't Kaepora Gaebora. And Raru is dead, so he can't be the King. He's just Raru.
