Sacred Forest Meadow?

I watched the new trailer the other day (it was awesome by the way) and something caught my attention. in the part where link turns into a wolf, i noticed that the narrow passageway looked like the same place that you have to pass through to get to the forest temple in OoT. i was wondering if any of you guys knew about this. the last i want to do is trudge through a world that ive already been through.

Could you post a link to the trailer please? I would enjoy seeing it. Also, TP might take place between Oot and TWW, so some areas may remain the same.

Maybe the foe feels threatened by sacred places like the five temples, and is trying to strangle them with the Twilight?

The forest area with the giant (from the GDC trailer) does remind me a lot of the Sacred Forest Meadow. They bear a striking resemblence. The entire idea of the lost woods is mystical and very atmospheric to me. I enjoy walking through forests in real life, and they tend to be my favorite area in Zelda. I don't think this will be the exact place from OoT though. I would find that rather disappointing.

This might be like Wind Waker, remember how the Dragon Roost Island temple looked a lot like the Fire Temple? Well maybe they are the same temple, but they are set up in a very different way. Sounds good to me.

I bet that the Twilightzone ( na-na-na-na na-na-na-na-, excuse me) is trying to create a barrier between the Dungeon and the rest of the world. Only a few persons can move through it so it might work.

I think it'd be good to go through a world we've already experienced. Of course, it wouldn't be exactly the same, as there is a long time different between OoT and TP. But yeh, to see..say Hyrule Field, in upgraded graphics ridding Epona once again, would you not want that?
Anywho, it's not going to be exact, we know that, because they say that the world will be 3 times bigger than OoT. But I don't see anything wrong with having the good old Hyrule in the new game, I'd look foward to that.

I think it isn't the Sacred Forest Meadow. I don't think Nintendo would let that place return.

Mmm, yes but maybe the entrance to the Twilight Zone (I like to calll it that way) advances during the game, maybe at the beginning there is just a little bit of Hyrule covered in darkness, and maybe the darkness will advance during the game... So when Link wants to enter the Sacred Forest Meadow, the darkness has already advanced to that place, and Link turns into a wolf.

^Mmm, sounds reasonable, doesn't it? (I just made up this theory, and I'm pretty contented with it.)

That sounds reasonable, but doesn't this take place after wind waker? The forest meadow probably would be gone.

That's one thing that would be foolish to worry about. No offense, of course. But take into account that the overworld will be three times larger than in OoT. Even if there were some familiar areas (which I would appreciate; I love nostalgic experiences), you would have way more still to enjoy. Don't worry about having to experience the same overworld and maps; Nintendo knows better than to feature too much familiarity that everything becomes repetitious. Remember the end of TWW?

In Ganon's castle, you have to go through four areas that are very remeniscient of the other dungeons (sans-Tower of the Gods). In addition, you have to fight the old bosses afterward, and are even restricted to the items you had in your possession at the time.
Personally, I thought that was a great touch. Nintendo knows just how to balance new experiences and old ones for a brand new adventure with some fond moments from the past. Don't ever worry about the Zelda series being unenjoyable--just look past the boxart, and it's still the same ol' Zelda.

That's an interesting thought. We can only wait and see, though. I think having the enemy be on the defensive would be pretty cool--in the other games, Ganondorf/Majora/Vaati are always on the offensive, trying to force you back and conquer/destroy whatever their target is. To have the foe actually try and defend against you would be a very interesting new aspect. It would also probably be more effective, especially if the enemy sent an entire hord of difficult enemies after you.
