How Many Hearts in TP

I just finished reading an interveiw for TP and it said that there will be more dungeons than on Ocarina of Time Which means more Bosses Which means more Heart Containers, and you start with 5 hearts according to the direct feed from IGN, in OoT you only had to collect 36 pieces of heart compared to MMs 52, Any way do you think that Zelda will stay with the Traditional 20 hearts or move on and go to somthing like 30?
Personaly i say that they will got to 30.

probably not, maybe there will just be less heart pieces. and u probably start with 3 hearts they just kept it 5 for demo purposes.

You don't start out with five hearts. In the demos, they usually give you more hearts than you likely would have had by then. Five just seems like a good number. It's enough to allow you to survive, but not so many that you're invincible.

Wait, you're suggesting that you would have a higher maximum number of heart containers?? :/ That's ridiculous. You would never require more than ten, anyway. I've beaten OoT on five hearts before--it was quite amusing. The only real dangers were Iron Knuckles, but I'm smart enough to carry faeries with me at all times. Besides, I learned long ago how to manuever defensively. I'm not the subpar gamer I used to be. Defensive skills are imperative to mastering any game, especially one like Zelda. Even Ganon was very easy once you figured out the easy way to beat him--Nayru's Love, of course. I hope they bring back the "unavoidable" attacks that the Iron Knuckles dealt. They were really the only challenging enemy in the game and, once you were able to manuever defensively, even they weren't very tough. Personally, I don't think Zelda will ever stray from the tradition of twenty hearts maximum. There's just no reason for it.

...Hold on, something just occurred to me... There are supposed to be a massive amount of sidequests in TP, right? Well, if there are only 32 heart pieces (at the most), then will the only rewards you get be rupees? I hope not--for the most part, I was full on rupees. Besides, heart pieces just feel like so much more of a reward than cash.

Yeah that is kind of what i was thinking, but there are supposed to be lots of mini games and Side quests in TP, when you get all the hearts Quivers ect. what will you get insted rupees?

You will probably get more than just rupees. Judging by the sheer size of this game you will likely get upgrades and items when you finish sidequests. Also it is likely that rupees will be useful in this game.

Although TP is 3x bigger than OOT, 20 hearts is enough for game ninjas like us, hm? I never even manage to get the maximum amount of hearts because I can't be bothered to find the pieces. I usually only use 17.

I've never gotton all the heart peices before. The highest I got was 18, in The Minish Cap. I once got 21 in OoT though using action replay.

I wouldnt mind there being 30. As long as most of 'em are just as hard to find as the old games, maybe even harder. I think they should thow in the dificulty of OoT, but add the adventure feeling from tWW. When I set out to get heart peaces in tWW it felt like I was going somewhere hidden. Somewhere no one has ever been. (excluding HoT) When I got the OoT heart peaces it seemed like anyone could walk by and go,
"Hey look! Candy!"

As far as the 3 vs. 5 goes- I'm sure and I hope we start with 3.

Maybe it would be more reasonable to start out with 5 hearts, It's unlikely, but it would be better. I always die so fast in the first dungeon. Maybe it could because in the Wind Waker demos, you played with 3 hearts in all of them.

Now that I remember, I've never really needed or collected the 20 hearts in OoT,MM, and WW. It would probably be a bad move to up the heart count, which would probably make Link nearly unbeatable, That's something I'm sure most don't want to see happen.

I hope there is the same number of hearts in TP as there are in OoT other wise it'd be way too many!!!
Maybe there will just be fewer peices of heart, and not every boss would give you a heart I don't know.

Well, there would be ups and downs either way you slice it.

If it was the same, then it would be a little more of a challenge, but there wouldn't be many Pieces of Heart to find, which wouldn't give you as many sidequests.

If it was extended, you could find more PoH, but it might make it too easy.

Personally, I won't care how many there are, since they both would be equally good and bad.

I think theres gonna be twenty hearts what if some duengeons dont have hearts you never know.

Like someone said, they'll probably just lower the heartpiece count to make it fit the normal container count. It's as simple as that - and we will probably have 20 hearts as usual.

I'd rather have less hearts though, either 10 or 12 like in LoZ. These games are way too easy nowadays.

I just thought if there were 30 there might be enemys that do 20 hearts damage(i think i am exagurating but you get the point)

^Then it would be the players problem not to defend Himself/Herself at battle.
