Gerudo

Whatever happened to the Gerudo? Did they just become extinct before WW (apart from evil ol' Ganondorf)? I guess we can assume they all drowned, got wiped by Ganondorf for switching sides, or were not selected by the goddesses to build the new country (facisim?)

I was quite suprised. I think they should have been kept, only they have turned to piracy from thievery. They would be more at home like this then in a dry old desert.

Re: Gerudo

No, the WW is the opposite of the climate the Gerudos were used to. Nintendo was right to leave them out.

It is the opposite of the climate most people were used to. I bet it was a long time before everyone stopped getting nosebleeds.

Re: Gerudo

I think it's more of a there wasn't a reason to add them. Just because they weren't in WW doesn't mean the entire race went extinct. They just simply were not mentioned in the story of the Wind Waker.

And I apologize for any problems folks may be having with my signature. SBC is causing a bit of trouble right now.

Re: Gerudo

Well, none of the races from OoT had escaped unchanged the Zoras had evolved into the Rito, the kokiri became the koroks and the Gorons were nearly extinct. I remember reading somewhere that the Gerudo had gone extinct. I hope all the races come back, the Great Sea felt a lot emptier without the diversity of them.

Re: Gerudo

Well I believe I've fixed the whole sig-problem... Now I can add a little more.

It is quite possible that the Gerudo thieves may have perished, but there's nothing to say about the Gerudo pirates! If they could somehow leave the boundries of Termina... And since they are in Four Swords Adventures...

Arrrr.

Re: Gerudo

I say that they became pirates and are the group that Tetra mentions upon arrival of the Forsaken Fortress.

When she says that rival pirates used to live in the Forsaken Fortress? That's what I thought too, and it would make sense that Ganondorf would choose that as his Great Sea fortress.

Maybe the goddesses thought that they shouldn't allow Gerudos to live on the surfacein fear of a new Ganon(dorf) being born?

How do you figure? WW's climate the same as MM (by the water, not snowfall), was it not? They looked pretty much the same. I also believe that MM gerudo's would adapt nicely to WW's enviorment.

Re: Gerudo

Only Hyrule was flooded and the desert technicaly was not apart of hyrule, so they may have stayed dry in their destert climate.

Re: Gerudo

I think they survived somehow, since

SPOILERS

Nabooru's bloodline has to continue to link to the past. The seven maidens are descendants of the seven sages right? And one of the girls does were gerudo colours (sort of)

Well we can only theorize, but that would be my arguement for the defense! Plus they're also in Four Swords Adventures. And they just looked so cute in FSA ^_^

It's obvious that they are decendants of the sages, but wasn't it said somewhere on the site that they are Zelda's sisters?

Re: Gerudo

The only Gerudo that is shown is the Wind Waker is Ganondorf. I think the Gerudos may have drowned in the flood. They could've evolved into the enemies in the Robber Ships (the ships that keep shooting bombs at you). I'm not quite sure though. I heard this from someone else.

Kawaii Gerudo

I've been looking for screen shots &/or sprites for the FSA Gerudo. Alas, I haven't been able to find any. If I knew how to rip 'em myself, I'd do that. And they look so cute too!

They're not evil (no more evil than they were in OOT & MM). They were a bit miffed about...

Spoiler (Highlight to read):
They were miffed about Ganon passing through, rather than being miffed about Vaati. And hoped he'd get what he deserves.

But they still helped Link, even if they expected him to fail.
