Zelda? Twilight Princess?

Hey im just wondering, and if anybody knows that would be great, who is the twilight princess? Is she zelda? If not, then why is it called 'the legend of zelda'? When i think about it majora's mask had no connection with zelda either but it still referred to her in the title. Just wondering.

#1. No Twilight Princess discussion in the Gamecube section. That belongs in the Future Zelda section until the game has been released.

#2. Yes it has been confirmed by Miyamoto in an interview that the Twilight Princess is indeed Princess Zelda

#3. Just because Zelda isn't in it, doesn't mean that it shouldnt' be called "The Legend of Zelda". Just take a look at Link's Awakening aswell.
