As for the thread at hand, I still want it confirmed by someone that knows Japanese that Miyamoto corrects himself in the roundtable, because the translator specifically says after Ocarina of Time, and not The Wind Waker.

Thats not true. Nintendo.com said it even.

“Chronologically speaking, the game takes place a few decades after The Ocarina of time,” said Aonuma, which places it between Ocarina of Time and The Wind Waker. But the version of Link is different than that of any other Legend of Zelda title. I'm more inclined to believe that that's a mistranslation, it's gone over in some detail elsewhere that it takes place between OoT and tWW.

Out of curiosity, though, does anyone know who the men really responsible for the Zelda storylines are? It sure as hell isn't Aonuma and Miyamoto writing Ganondorf's script etc.

Well I'm glad to hear about this correction, and I'm also glad to hear that it's a completely different Link (well it does cancel out the "Two video games for each Link" theory when it comes to tWW....maybe sometime in the future they will make a connection...). The only thing that's itching me is this: It takes place a couple of decades after tWW. Hmmmm last time I remembered, it takes a decade for a new Hero to be born. Now that makes me wonder: Probably there is a Link born in every generation, however, only after 100 years a Hero Link is needed (so this could rule out that not all Male Gerudos are bad...possibly).

Or that Hyrule is in dire need of a hero that the triforce brings out the Link of that generation to become the new Hero.

They've had different writers for different games.

Glad to here that then. Being placed between OoT and TWW would obviously give away the ending, and if Link had succeded, then we would've had a major paradox on hand. Even Link being a hero would contradict the Wind Waker.

It isn't. Link and Tetra left for a new land, called it Hyrule and lived there. The God's drained Hyrule, it's logical in that universe in a sense, but dountful, seeng how Hyrule was washed away.

So, I tihnk the most logicla are that Link and Tetra founded a new land, and people grew near by in this country. Of course, it may not be related, and may just be an event happening in a different land, or a part an extension of Hyrule that wasn't flooded, there's logic behind it.

I'm glad all has been correted, but, a few decades isnt alot to have a new link, and a new hyrule... LUCY THERE IS SOME ESPLAININ' TO DO!
