Orca=Link

I know this is weird and I don't really think it's true myself but,

A while back, a friend of mine jokingly suggested that Orca is the original link from OoT and MM. I found that highly ridiculous, but as I got to thinking, I realized that it's not that farfetched.

I mean, Orca is the last great (up for debate) swordsman, or so says the game. His hair even looks like the Link hat. ONe that I think might disprove this is that Orca would have to be 113 at least (Or something like that). There are people who have lived to age 115 (I think), so could Hyrulians live to 113 and still be capable of wielding a spear?

The other thing is that Orca claims to have a brother so...

Re: Orca=Link

In any zelda game, Link never had a brother so Orca couldn't be the old Link teaching the way of the sword. But it could be possible but I have to say, I don't believe so.

Re: Orca=Link

I just figured it was silly, but link was also originally Hyrulian but lived with the Kokiri, so he could have lied about having a brother...

that's a possiblity but why would he have a fake identity. I mean it's an honor to have a title of Hero Of Time so why would he call himself Orca? Plus there was no mention of a brother since Orca has that smart itelligent brother. So in short terms this theory is almost impossible.

It's impossible. Orca has a brother who's very much alive.

Re: Orca=Link

Um. But why would Link be called Orca? There was nothing in the game to lead hints to that Orca was the Hero of Time who vanished after the first time the evil one (Ganon) was sealed. And if Orca was Link then why would he use a spear and not a sword? Also there is nothing in the house Orca is in that shows he was the Hero of Time.

Maybe he was hiding himself, i dunno, just a theory. If he hides himself then people won't be after him and he can go on his own untill evil urises again. I don't really agree with what i am saying, lol. But i am just thinking here.

Re: Orca=Link

There is no way in heck that's right. I mean, Orca would have to be hundreds of years old, because in the game's intro it says OOT happened centuries ago. As further stated above, Orca has a brother, something the origianal Link did not have. Maybe he was trained by people who were trained by Link, but other than that, I'd doubt it.

Re: Orca=Link

I've pondered on this possiblity more than once. It's possible, but he would have to be a really old freakin' guy, and they said somewhere on there that he was always the fisherman type

Re: Orca=Link

I thought OoT occured 100 years ago? If Hyrulians had a lifespan of 150 or so that would be fine.

The only obvious problem is his brother though. Heh, that would be pretty funny...

Re: Orca=Link

Actually, it says in the Nintendo Gallery that Orca was injured when he was young and spent his life as a fisherman, and that his brother (the clever one with the huge head) was actually a swordsman and hero.

Nintendo did say at one point that WW took place 100 years after OoT, so it seems like they contradicted themselves there, as the game says hundreds of years.

Re: Orca=Link

Maybe it's sort of an Obi Wan case, where Orca (or the brother) went into exile and changed his name while waiting for a new hero to arise, who he could train to battle the darkness as he once did.

Re: Orca=Link

Well, when i first read it, it seemed really far-fetched, but then I looked at these two pics from the main site and the similarities are quite noticable once you look. In these two, look at the face shape and jaw structure. Looks very similar. Also, the pose they are both standing in is almost identical (coincidence maybe) Aside from the gut that orca has, its pretty believable. Check it out:

Re: Orca=Link

Aaah. No, just no! Once again people are trying their hardest to pull the most absurd theory they can find out of their asses. It's a fact that WW occured HUNDREDS of years after OoT. The king says so himself when you talk to him in Hyrule's basement(I don't remember the line, but 'centuries' is used) Those pictures are of two very, very different people. Drawn in two very different ways.

Re: Orca=Link

For that drastic of a landform change it would take over 1000 years for everything to be fully adjusted, so no I do not believe that this is Link. Him and his brother were put in there to teach you about the game. Nothing more.

Yes...well...maybe..no. Orca is holding his weapon in his right hand, while link is known to be left handed and holds his sword in his left.

Re: Orca=Link

1) Orca would be about a billion years old.
2) The Hero of Time VANISHED when Ganon attacked Hyrule. How could he exist now?
3) Orca has a brother.
4) There is absolutely NO basis for this fact.

Re: Orca=Link

Um, it is likely that wouldn't happen, because WW Link IS OoT Link. He is a recarnation. It said that in the game. . .I think.
