TWW Alone

I just thought of another reason why TWW should take place in Adult Links timeline and the others in Young Links timeline.

TWW obviously takes place directly after OoT, with no other games in between. Because if the other games took place between OoT and TWW, than in TWW they would have mentioned all the other Links. But no, they focused on the Hero of Time. And if any of them did, than why wouldn't the King of Hyrule be looking for any of the other Link's, not just the Hero of Time. So it had to have taken place after OoT with none others in between.

But none of the other games can take place after TWW either, especially ALttP/LA and LoZ/AoL. Because in ALttP all the places still have the same names as in OoT, Kakiriko Village, Death Mountain, Lake Hylia, etc. Those places wouldn't be named that if they took place after TWW, because after TWW no one would be alive to remember anything about old Hyrule to rename the places. Same thing with AoL, with the towns being named after characters in OoT.

So, in conclusion, none of ther other games can take place between OoT and TWW because TWW takes place directly after OoT, and the others can't take place after it either, because all the other games have stuff in them that connect to OoT, and after TWW, no one would be alive that would remember those things. So, TWW must take place in another timeline than the others.

Re: TWW Alone

The people wouldn't necessarily have to remember, would they? When was the Book of Mudora made?

Re: TWW Alone

Who said the Book of Mudora was in the old Hyrule? I might have been kept safe within Tetra's family or something... much like the Triforce of Wisdom.

Re: TWW Alone

Then it would have been mentioned in TWW.

And plus, if the world got unflooded, and the people found the book, why would it be in a crappy librabry in ALttP. And if people found, do you really think they are gonna give enough of a crap to name all their places after places in the book. They aren't going to worship some old book like that.

Re: TWW Alone

I believe the book is placed in a very high reguard in LttP.

Why wasn't the Ocarina of Time mentioned in tWW? That was a very important item aswell, a sacred tool of the Royal Family.

Even so, believe what you want to. It fits for you.

Re: TWW Alone

Either the ocarina was taken by the desendents of the royal family, mabey outside tetra, or it was just lost in the legends and left in old hyrule. Just makes you wonder where Links fairy Ocarina went to....

Re: TWW Alone

Who knows?

Of course, as you should know Cole, Ganondorf mistook the Fairy Ocarina for the Ocarina of Time in the OoT Manga.

Re: TWW Alone

true but as you said that the manga isn't always right, Ganondorf may have taken the fairy Ocarina and crushed it in the manga, but that never happend in the game.

Why? It has never been the style of the Zelda series to point out every little thing like that. It is completely foolish to believe that they mention thigns like that whenever they are present.

Re: TWW Alone

You know... The only problem that I have with Wind Waker is the cell-shading. It's not that I don't like it, but I think it lacks realism...

Re: TWW Alone

i'm kinda unsure about it... ww is ... what.. 100 years after oot... and the average lifespan is like 74 years or something. the oot link was 17 when he defeated ganondorf... and the ww link was... 12? or maybe 13... either way, it does come right after oot, but the book was probably just destroyed in the flood. it's still possible that it was saved, but the library wasn't on the peak of a mountain, so i think it was just destroyed. i'm probably either A: wrong or B: not making a point, but that's just out of my tired mind...

Re: TWW Alone

Yeah, the world itelf is amazing in WW, but all the rich colors without a definite dark tone sort of takes away the realism a little. Nevertheless, it's still fun.

Still stuck in the flying part though. LOL! Eh...
