Zephos

It suddenly hitted me. I´ve only encountered Zephos once, but in my WW manual, i read that "Zephos will help you many times on youre quest"

I think thats kinda weird, so if anyone know where to find Zephos after learning the first melody, please post it.

Re: Zephos

Neiter of them help you more then once. Thank goodness, I despise them. Randomly adding two more gods like that irked me to no end.

Re: Zephos

Hey, Zephos and Cyclos were awesome! They were two of my favorite characters in the Wind Waker! I'm depresed that they weren't in the game any more!

As for Zephos helping you many times, in a way, he sort of does. After all, Zephos is the one who teaches you the Wind's Reqieum. Maybe he's the one who changes the direction of the wind when you play the wind waker.

I don't know. Ether way, ZEPHOS RULES!

Re: Zephos

I didn't like them. Giant colored toads on flying nimbus clouds, and they are gods... riiiight. I did however like how fast he moved around when he first appeared.

Re: Zephos

Yeah, they were a bit strange...but they had to have some explanation for the Wind Waker's power, and I guess Shiggy and his team were licking toads when they came up with it.

Re: Zephos

They should have made Wind Farore's responsibility... as someone else at this forum has mentioned, she has bene associated with wind before.

Farore's Wind, and a lot more I don't remember right off the top of my head.

Much like I think Time is Nayru's domain, since magic associated with time is always blue, Zelda, the keeper of the Triforce of Wisdom is also the kepper of the Ocarina of Time, the Oracles of AGES is NAYRU, etc., etc.

I agree with Oni-Dante. They were pretty twisted in their toad-heads, but i liked them anyway.

Re: Zephos

I think Zephos is one of many, for lack of a better word, "messy" cases in The Wind Waker. He shows up once, talks to you for a bit, tricks you into loving him, then never appears again. He's the effin' wind god. In a game where wind's in the title, he deserves more than a five-minute pointless appearance.
Ah, well, it's a kick in the pants...

Re: Zephos

Zephos and Cyclos were great! They were so cool! I mean, giant floating frogs that control the wind, what's not to like. Plus the floating clouds gave me a DBZish vibe. (Who doesn't love the Flying Nimbus?) The only problem I had was that, though they did help you with two important songs, I think they should have been in the game more. Oh well, maybe the next game will be based around them more.

Re: Zephos

Zephos and Cyclos were cool. A part of a great storyline IS pointless characters. And those of you who think it is strange that they are gods, must have a Western view at "god", and think that "gods" means almighty. In Japanese (Shinto) mythology, every mountain, tree, pond and river have their own god, unless it is a god itself, or gods can just run around and be like humans, only more. Everyone who have seen "Mononoke-Hime" and "Sen to Chihiro" (sorry, I use translated titles in Norwegian, but when translated to English from another language, I prefer the orginal (I know, it's a Hell to remember and pronounce)) will understand what I mean. Of course the Japaneses have creators and rulers in the gate of Javhe/Jesus/Allah, even Terry Pratchett wrote about creatures that were unlike the gods immortal, and a lot mightier, like the Acopalyctic Horsemen (Death, Famine, Pestilence, War with his sons Terror and Fear and the fifth Horseman, who left before their breaktrough), Destiny and the Ancient Creators.
