All y'all who've played Four Swords Adventures...

Tell me, is it worth the fifty bucks in addition to whatever money it would take to buy another game boy and another game link cable? I don't want to be ripped off like I was with Wind Waker.
Thanks in advance.

Yes, it's worth it. And you don't have to pay for a Game Boy Advance and a link cable because it's a one player game, as well.

Re: All y'all who've played Four Swords Adventures...

yeah, but it's the multiplayer mode that intrigues me. I was really disappointed in Wind Waker and one of the main reasons was that after four days, I had beaten Ganon and I never wanted to play it again(the sidequests bored the crap out of me and there wasn't enough fun to want to play again). Is this one going to last longer than that?

Re: All y'all who've played Four Swords Adventures...

I'm not sure it would suggest buying another gameboy and cable, unless you already have a GBA. The reason to buy this game would be to play with your friends.....I know the story must be great and the single player must also be good....but nothing would beat the multiplayer. It would be better to save your cash to buy the minish cap or something.

wait.....doesn't the game come with the cable?

Re: All y'all who've played Four Swords Adventures...

If you preorder it comes with a cable, I do not believe buying it normally will get you one.

Personally, I would pay 70$ just for the single player mode, if I had to. But then again, most aren't nearly as obsessed with the series as I am.

I believe that I am unable to offer an unbiased opinion, heh.

I paid $55 dollars for it.... I did get a free shirt though *marvels at it* I had to pay $5 to reserve it.

I would personally think about replaying the Wind Waker with a friend as Tingle... It was fun

You do get a link cable with it "if" you pre-order it which I highly recommend.

Also why would you buy "another" gameboy?.. if you already got one so why buy another then? I only have my GBA... I turned in all my older GBs to get it.

Lastly I think FSA is going to be an awesome game that you all should buy if you even think about saying you are a Zelda fan.

You see OniLink, to play multiplayer you must have two or more GBAs. And since Darth Kirby said "another gameboy" (I'm sure he meant GBA) he wants to play it multiplayer because you can not play FSA with a GC Controller and he only has one GBA (I'm assuming). I hope that made sence/ cleared things up for you OniLink.

You sure you only get a link cable if you preorder? I thought i saw "link cable included" on zelda.com before they redid it.

You get the cable even if you buy it normally. I would say if you alrady have a GBA or two, get it for sure. It's probably not worth buying another one for.

Re: All y'all who've played Four Swords Adventures...

I bought it in the store a few days after it came out (just hadn't gotten a chance to get to the store before then) and it came with the link cable. I already had a regular GBA, adaptor cable and link cable. I bought a Retro SP (which is awesome btw) and I would say it's definitely worth it to buy a second GBA if you already have one. If you actually have a friend that already has one of their own GBAs though I wouldn't recommend it. At this point, however, my sister's the only one available to play FSA with me. It's the most fun we've had between the two of us in a long time. I definitely can't wait to get together with two other players to experience 4-player mayhem.

Your friends should get their own GBA if they want to play. Oh and I knew that to play multiplayer you need 2+ GBAs. But you also need friends

Re: All y'all who've played Four Swords Adventures...

I never got a link cabel with mine, no matter though as I already had one. Its a good idea though to include one with the game. This game is worth the money I say, it actualy suprized me how good this game is. I have had it a week today and am working on it but its a really good game and I would say buy it.

Re: All y'all who've played Four Swords Adventures...

Not trying to go off subject, but I'd like to say someting (without making a new Thread or putting this in the wrong one).

Does anybody think that it would have been a nice touch for Nintendo to make something unlockable in FSA, if you used a GBA with the ALttP/FS cartrige? I thought that would have been a nice touch. Since Metroid Prime did it with their GC and GBA games (you can upgrade GC Samus' Suite if you completed the GBA Metroid Prime), why can't Zelda?
