And i, i think that Link must travel to Goron city to get something to proces in the game and that he have to fight Gorons in the start as he climb the mountain to acses goron city. I think that gorons dosent like other races in this game and that they dont want Link to came to Goron city. This goron could be the boss you fight before entering goron city. He could be a guard that dont let human pass. But maybe Link solve something later for the gorons or something like that and then become friend with the gorons!
I stick to my teory that the Goron is confused and think Link is a enemy ( while he is not ). It make more sense and come on! Dont we all want to fight a goron rater than getting hugs of them? And i dont realy think they would have used a goron as a trainer.

Who knows? Probably you get to learn something from each race: Stronger defence mechanism from the Gorons, different ways to attack underwater with a Zora, espianoge(sp?) in forest areas from a Deku^_^

Re: The "new" Gorons

It can't be aggressive fighting because doesn't Link usually turn red when he takes damage from an enemy? I'm pretty sure in the trailer he remains his normal color.

When they say "the gorons won't be what they used to be" it doesn't mean they'll be evil. My guess is that the Gorons will be more secluded and sceptical about other races, and won't like visitors that much anymore. It's kinda like the deku tribe from MM. They only accepted their own tribe and didn't want to know anything from other races, but they weren't evil. So there just might be a chance that gorons in this new game just don't want to know anything about other races, and live their life alone and peacefully. Therefore the goron attacks Link because he wants to make Link clear that he's not welcomed. Link only defends though and leaves his sword in his sheet, because he knows the Gorons aren't evil, and therefore doesn't want to hurt him.

But only time will tell, we'll just have to wait.
Gorons didnt really accept vistors in OoT. You had to get permission from the King (or princess, in that case) and go through the gate. Remember? But they didnt throw you out once you got in either like the shrubs did.

Re: The "new" Gorons

bgs has some good ideas.maybe like what freak said you have to warn the gorons of an attack and they dont welcome you easily because of recent events leading to them not trusting anyone outside of the race.

Actually, it was the king who didn't allow you to go to death mountain because it was to dangerous because the volcano was active.

Also, Layke makes a good point. When you get hit by an enemy you usually glow red.

I think maybe the Goron is cursed or something(???) because of the evil power!

Re: The "new" Gorons

Yes, that is true. The king is the one who, didnt allow people to pass, but then again there was another way into goron city, actually two more ways. through lost woods and once you found the entry it was blocked by boulders, the other of course was in hte volcano but that was a hidden entrance anyway, so that shouldnt count. Death mountain as its name describes is of course dangerous. I wasnt saying hte gorons were trying to keep poeple out, but htey were not very friendly. There were never any gorons outside of Death mountain. Zoras were outside of their domain and the gerudos every now and then went into hte market place. even though you dont see them it is mentioned by the guy on the roof. Why didnt the gorons have a more accessible home, the only 3 ways in were dangerous, so i say they were secluded from the begginning and didnt welcome just anybody. even when your inside hte city it is still dangerous, gorons dont care if your there. they are not as friendly as poeple think. that little goron trying to brake the boulder in the beggining of hte game. he didnt care if he ran into you, nor did hte huge goron. they were not very welcoming to me.

You just had to put mods into the equation didn't you hehe. Take a look at my message below...and next time, please correct your grammatical errors.

You remember those little creatures that can around really fast and when you slash them they turn to stone? Well back in the day, those little critters were actually called Gorons. I don't think the Twilight Princess (TP) Gorons are those. Why? Take a look at FSA. In FSA they had those little critters and Gorons. Though Nintendo named them Gorons in the past, they must have a new name now...but nothing has been said.

Re: The "new" Gorons

My idea centers around the idea that the "Twilight Realm" is an area that can be stumbled upon, rather than only magically accessible. So, maybe a Goron found the Twilight Realm and saw Link enter it, then transform into a wolf. So, later, when Link entered the Goron town, the Goron recognised him and thought he was an evil spirit or something (?).

This is just a guess, but it seems as educated as some of the others here.

Re: The "new" Gorons

 I wish Nintendo would give us a tid bit more information on the trailers so I don't have to keep changing my theories. Otherwise I have come up with a new idea .

My new idea on the matter is. . . Miyamoto said the Twilight World is expanding and sucking things in. Maybe the Goron got sucked in and became evil. He leaves the Twilight World on accident and seeing how Link is in normal world he doesn't draw his sword thinking the Goron is a good guy. I don't know just a thought.

------What do ya'll think with the new information we have gotten???

Gorons in TP

Since people can not stay their current form in the twilight realm do u think that the gorons will change in the twilight realm, i know the gorons arent humans but maybe in the twilight realm they become evil? what do u think?

Re: The "new" Gorons

The twilight realm, as far was we can tell, doesn't change what a person acts like (After all, Link doesn't turn evil when he enters it), so to your question about them being evil, no, I don't think they will be evil. As for will they change, as far as we can tell every one/thing aside from Zelda turns into an animal in the TR (Midna is different, she apparently lives there.) so I'd say yes, that Gorons would change form.
