Re: Where has the Epicness gone?

I forgot to include this but another fact that makes me think they should act like it never happened is what happened after MM. Where did link go what did he do. Them starting with a new link just left so many questions unanswered.

Re: Where has the Epicness gone?

What's wrong with unanswered questions? They're a valued part of the Zelda mythos.

Technically he's not dead. Remember? The Hero of Winds is the Hero of Time reborn. It's a reoccuring legend.
What makes you think that? It's just another person named Link.

You are a fool. So you consider the OoT Link the "real" Link and all the rest stupid wannabes? Did you know that there were games before OoT? So is LttP's Link just a stupid wannabe? What about LoZ's?

Re: Where has the Epicness gone?

The only link i said was a wannabey was the one from TWW. And i'm not talking about LTTP, i'm talking about going from MM to TWW and i don't really like the whole new link idea.

Re: Where has the Epicness gone?

Except the Link from LttP is a different Link... so is the Link from LoZ and AoL. And the Link from the Oracles.

Re: Where has the Epicness gone?

Why did you chose now to be angry? It's been pretty obvious that there are multiple Links since LttP.

Re: Where has the Epicness gone?

I don't know what you are talking about. People keep complaining, but can't you realize Wind Waker was just plain awesome! It had its bad parts, as any other game.

I just LOVED the game, I never wanted it to end.

Whine about ALTTP or OoT, please?

Re: Where has the Epicness gone?

Why? Those games wern't idiotically short. They had difficult enemies. It was possible to become in danger of dying. They weren't boring and annoying at the same time. Wind Waker was a lot more bad parts than awesome.
L-o-s, in Wind Waker Ganondorf clearly states that Link is the Hero of Time reborn. I don't know how it can be any clearer than that.

How do you figure? The Hero of Time was reincarnated with no memory of his past life. How is that just a load of crap?

Re: Where has the Epicness gone?

because this whole rebirth thing is pointless. Link from OoT is a WHOLE dif person than WW Link, in every sense except for his destiny which is to fend off Ganon. Is that what you are saying Reincarnation is? if so its pointless because nothin is the same about you once you are reborn.

Re: Where has the Epicness gone?

The WW Link is different than the OOT Link. Remember Link in the WW is the Hero of Winds not Time. Also there are multiple Links. Not one reborn. Every time trouble arises a new hero named Link is born.

Re: Where has the Epicness gone?

I can't speak for the other Heroes, but I think what Ganondorf said(truly you are the Hero of Time, reborn) pretty much explains that the Hero of Winds is the Hero of Time, but once he died, his spirit returned and he was reborn in a new age. What's so different about him? So far, there's barely been any character established with Link; they could have the exact same personality for all we know.

Re: Where has the Epicness gone?

i just don't know why they can't stick to one link. Think about how depressing it would be to see a hero like link go and kick the bucket. It doesn't matter that he's gonna be reincarnated, just picture link on his death bed. It would just make so much more sense to stick to one link. I really hate the idea of the whole multiple Link thing.

Re: Where has the Epicness gone?

It would make sense, but what's done is done; the only way the story makes sense is for multiple Links.
Sure, it's sad to think of a Link on his deathbed, but when will we have to see that? I don't think ever. And why think of it when it just makes us sad? If he's going to get reincarnated anyway, and we know it, it's not so sad; it's just moving on.

The way I understood it, Ganon was merely incredulous that anyone other then the Hero of Time could defeat him, and so he was grasping at straws. The way he phrased it certainly didn't lead me to believe that he knew for a fact that he was.

I believe Ganondorf, but that's just me, I guess there is some wiggle room there.

Re: Where has the Epicness gone?

Now,whether or not anyone has realized this, Ganon from OOT is the same Ganon in WW. So, he is only assuming that this current Link HAS to be the Hero of Time, the one destined to defeat him. Now, on the topic of reincarnation, i believe that not so much the Hero of Time was reborn, or Link from an age past was reborn into this new Link, but more along the lines of "The one destined to defeat Ganon" Link. Take for instance The Dragon Reborn. When the original Dragon was first...named i guess you could say, he was destined to Seal the Dark One up in the Bore and the other Forsaken. Now, when the Dragon was reborn, he didn't have the same name, or the same look, or really any of the same attributes as the original Dragon. Instead, Rand (the Dragon Reborn) was destined to once again seal or finally destroy the Dark One. So basically what i am saying is that it is not what the name is or what race you are or what your bloodline is or what your title is. You are only "reborn" (if that is what you would like to call it) because you have the same destiny as the person before you did. It doesn't necessarily mean you are that person reborn.....yeah...pay attention the two last sentences the most.
