Cave of Ordeal
How many people actually thought doing this cave was fun and what do you think was the hardest floor.
Personally it is half and half with me. I liked doing it but at the same time I did. Weird. I think the hardest floor was the 48th. That was the floor with the dark nut and two Aeralfos. I died there the first time I tried but won the second.

I liked it. I'd say the hardest part was the room that was basically a bunch of Darknuts. I found out that day that the Jump Strike is an incredibly useful attack.

Re: Cave of Ordeal
I like anything that is challenging. Therefore, the Cave of Ordeals is one of the best parts of TP, in my opinion.
I have done it once so far, in my main file, the one I have 100% completed. And I'm thinking about making another 3 heart challenge file, and doing the Cave of Ordeals like that. I don't know how far I'll get, but it sounds fun. Floor 49 is definitely hardest for me. Dark nuts > all other enemies. They're simply the toughest, therefore, you get 3 in a room at the same time, and it's almost impossible. |

Re: Cave of Ordeal
Cave of Ordeals was the most fun I've ever had in a Zelda game, aside from...no, wait, it was the most fun. Last floor was the most challenging due to the three-four Darknuts, though the room with five redeads can be a serious contender for that slot if you're caught by suprise.

Re: Cave of Ordeal
the 49th floor second time around was hardest. But not a problem with magic armor and bottles of Fairy tears and the like.

Re: Cave of Ordeal
I do it every time I play the game through so once per file. I did do it three times once in a file because I red from somewhere that the second time you get to the bottom, on the ledge beside the door before you jump down to the great Fairy the postman is there and the guide didn't say what the postman said so I had to go see for myself. The thing takes about 45 minutes to pass and second time through there are more enemies in each room so it took a little longer than that and when I got to the bottom I accidentally ran past the postman and down to the ledge to the fairy so I had to do it again. And no I'm not telling what the postman says. Go do it yourself.
The thing is not so bad, but I do hate the levels with any ice monsters in them. Just hate them. Anything else is easy to kill. You get redeads and armoured lizardfosses with the bombarrows easily even without having to go down.

Re: Cave of Ordeal
If you mean the ice warriors with ice spears or something like that, they're actually really easy. Just use bomb arrows from the top of the ledge before you jump down. If you fight them all at once, it's really hard to block your open areas.

Re: Cave of Ordeal
Shoot at those rotating statues with the laser eye beam from the top of the ledge before you jump down. Then, take care of the Keese (bats), and that should do it. There's only a few places you should attack with arrows and bomb arrows before jumping down. Those being the laser statue, Darknuts, and Ice warriors with spears. Do what helps you the most before jumping down, it makes it a lot easier.

Re: Cave of Ordeal
I had a problem on the floor with the two Ice-breathing things on the sides, Ice Keese, and then those Ice Soldiers. That took out my health pretty badly. I survived the next couple of floors and then reached the one with the Darknut and the Aerolfos. Got killed there. Retry, made it all the way.
