Zora Armor Weaknesses: What?

Does anyone know why an armor, created by the a legendary Zora, would be weak to fire? The Zora are water-creatures. Shouldn't they have a special resistance to fire? Or am I just Crazy? I mean, i can understand ice, but water extinguishes fire. So let me know.

The Zora are fish creatures who like Water, not water creatures. A water creature would be Morpha.

If you were to get hit by fire, you would be out of water.

In the Zelda universe, I'm assuming that a fish out of water really hates fire.

I think it makes since because it looks kinda thin and zoras can't live in places with a lot of heat like Death Mt. So fire would be like evaporation.

Well i see what you guys are saying, but i still dont see how it really hurts them because they must have evolved or something, you know? being around water so much has got to affect you somehow.

Zora = Fish, and Fish + Fire = dead fish.

plus, how would ice hurt them if they weren't water creatures? i mean, if they are weak to fire, how would ice hurt them? they are opposites, and plus ice is just water so if the zora love water, how does the ice hurt?

Zoras are amphibians. Like a frog or a salamander. They are not magical water deities.

Ice is frozen water. Zoras like to swim and are primary swimming creatures. Can you swim in ice?

It's probably cheap thin fabric that can easily be destroyed.

Only point I could consider towards this making sense is thinking that since a Zora created it, and since Zoras are naturally weak to Fire/Ice, that the maker would have made it special so that it has Fire/Ice resitance.

Sure, it makes sense. You said water extinguishes fire, but the armor isn't made of water. It is, however, possibly made of Zora scales or something similar. And I'm thinking fried fish, anyone?

Anything organic is combustible when exposed to the right conditions. When Zora armor exits the water, eventually it dries, leaving it helpless against fire.

I'm think that they made it for the hero of time as sort of scuba suit not as armor in battle. Fire and ice would not come in to play when dive a lake.

I suppose they added this weakness to the Zora Armor to make you use your green garb more. Although in MM the Zora's weakness to fire is still present, so I would guess it is because they never had a chance to adapt to fire, because they live in water.

i dont think they added the weakness. its just logical to be weak to fire and ice. the zora are fish as stated, and their flesh can be burned, frozen, and destroyed. The suits main properties are to help link breathe underwater. thats why the king zora in TP made them. Of course fire and ice is gonna destroy it. and how could they adapt to fire? Supposedly humans have been on this earth a long time and theres not too many i know that have adapted to be able to dance with flames

It's not that I don't get why it's weak against ice and fire Link is weak against those in general...I just don't get why wearing the Zora armor incresses the damage taken from fire and ice. It doesn't turn Link into a Zora like the Zora mask of MM did, it just gives him the ability to breathe underwater. So why the added weakness from the armor?
