Whoops... x3

I just seriously doubt that the Skull Kid in MM is the same Skull Kid in TP. And what the heck? Put Tatl in his lantern? What about Tael? o_O

Re: Skullkid in TP same as one in MM?

I just beat Skull Kid on TP for the second time in the game about a half hour ago. He has the same clothes as MM Skull Kid, but that's Blue Fire inside his lantern, not a fairy.

I don't know if anyone already made a thread about this, but, here's mine. Discuss.
Mm... no. It's like over a century after OoT/MM- that old SkullKid would be long dead and gone by the time TP!Link goes on his adventure.... unless the SkullKids are like Kokiri in that they are eternally youthful.

Still, there are plenty of other SkullKids in the Lost Woods, so there really isn't any reason why the on in TP would be the same as that particular one Link sorta knows in OoT/MM.

Re: Skullkid in TP same as one in MM?

Zeruda: It knows Saria's song which Link teaches it in OOT, this same one appears in MM as Majora's puppet. Then another skull kid shows up in TP that again knows Saria's Song. I'd assume they're the same one.

Also skull kids are what happens to kokiri that get stuck in the lost woods when they don't have a fairy.

No, No No! Kokiri do NOT turn into skull kids. Kokiri always have fairies with them, so they are immune to the lost woods. As I said before, skull kids are NORMAL hylian chilren that get lost in the Lost Woods.

Re: Skullkid in TP same as one in MM?

goronwarrior: Then why did this one girl in OOT say that? Besides Saria says "A fairy finally came to you. Now you're a true kokiri." This to me implies that Kokiri don't always have fairies and they come to them at some point. Probably shortly after their "birth"

Don't you remember, Link was an oddball. He was the only "kokiri" (remember, he isn't even a kokiri at all), who DIDN'T have a fairy. That girl was just addressing that Link finally got a fairy after being an outcast for so long.

Either way though, kokiri never turn into skull kids. Only "outside" people who get lost in the woods turn into monsters.

If I recall correctly, the girl in the forest says "Anyone that wanders in the Forest will become a Stalfos." Not a skull kid.

Freeze: Maybe I'm thinking of the wrong person. Still I could have sworn something in there talked about kokiri without fairies becoming Skull Kids.

Yeah, I know that. I think adults turn into Stalfos, while children (but not kokiri!) turn into skull kids. Makes sense, right?

It does....

I do not remember seeing anywhere in the game that says children wandering in the forest will become Skull kids. Even though it would seem to make sense on the creation of Skull kids, and their childish nature.

The Skull Kid could have just been a child that wondered into the Lost Woods a few years ago before Link ventured in.

It makes more sense than the Skull Kid being the same one from MM.

Re: Skullkid in TP same as one in MM?

Personally I love the idea that he is the same. It could be his penance for what happened in MM. Yes I know he was more or less corrupted and being used by Majora until it got stronger. But you know.

But he is more of a cameo then anything, which is sad. Would have been cool if he had a larger roll. Maybe in the first temple kind of an ally

If you use Navi's enemy description on the skull kid in OoT, I think she says something like, "Is this what happens to kids who get lost in the woods?".

Re: Skullkid in TP same as one in MM?

I think that it is the same skullkid in Majora's Mask. And as for his lantern and lack of fairies, I believe that after tatl and tael died, he missed the friendly glow of his fairy companions, and started carrying a lantern around with him to remind him of his deceased friends
