How long did it take you to beat Twilight Princess?

The title says it all. And, by beat, I just mean defeating Ganondorf.


It took me about a month, but I had my mind set to talk to every NPC more than once, look in every room in first person, an find all of the hidden skills.

In my second play-through, it took about a week.

The first time, about 70 hours or so. I spent a lot of time just stuffing around though, such as fishing for hours or simply riding Epona around the field.

The second time, it took about 25 hours.

I remember, back in sixth grade, how incredulous my friends were that I had taken two months to beat The Wind Waker. I di all of the sidequests on outset island though, like the robber girl, the rih girl with a Moblin boyfriend, the auction, stuff like that.

I always like taking the time to complete all of the sidequests as well - that's where most of the enjoyment in the game is for me. I think the first time I played Ocarina of Time, back when I was 11, it took a couple of months.

What sidequests were there in Ocarina of Time? I know about Anja, the Cucko woman, and the Biggoron Sword quest. Are there others?

There's the fishing game, which was a giant time sink for me. Also, the Big Poe sidequest.

Oh, yeah, the big Poe quest. There was a fishing sidequest? Do you just mean the mini-game? By the way, Astrael, I like your new avatar.

Yep. I practically turned it into a sidequest though, hunting for that elusive Hylian loach. Actually, that was part of the reason why Twilight Princess took so long to complete the first time...completing that Rollgoal game to get the Frog lure needed to catch the loach.

But I ruined the game for myself by using a guide book (I oh so wanted to get a 100% playthrough, though I should have just beaten the game, then on the second playthrough used the guide book to get what I missed)


Wind Waker? 1 month I think.

Hmmm. First time through TP i believe it was around 35 to 40 hours.

The first playthrough t took about 60 or so hours. I searched around a lot and tried to do a lot of the side quests. That resulted in about 2-3 weeks of play for me.

I'm still playing it.
I havn't had enough time to beat it yet, but I'm at ganons tower.

The first time I played through it, I made sure I completed everything in the game 100%. That took me about 45 hours and about two weeks of playing. During my replays , it usually takes about 30 hours, about a week, of playing.

Took me five days...to beat the game twice. xD (35 hours) Beat it over the Thanksgiving break of 2006 with my cousin. Then went home and beat it again on my own file. However, to get 100% on TP it took me like...4 months. @_@ (87 hours)

i still havent finished it stuck in snow peak cause i cant get the cannon ball to the right cannon to kill the big icy thing that i need to kill to get to the boss.

4 days, I was expirenced by OoT, so I cruised through the game. The only part I was stuck on I Snowpeak, not the dungeon, or crossing it. I was stuck trying to find it's entrance in Zora's Domain.

about 40-50 hours(out of a week), on the first playthrough of a game, I tend to just cruse about slowly, seeing the sights.

This was the first Zelda game I've ever played and it took me about 2 weeks, with about 3 hours a day going into it. (I didn't play the Cave of Ordeals and didn't really do any sidequests)
