WW: Earth Temple and Medli

I saved and quit my game, knowing that I would be placed at the front of the temple when I got back on. I have come back now to finish this temple and I can't get into it because I left Medli in the room that I was last in. According to the compass and map she is still there. However, I am without her sitting at the opening to the temple I can't get across to the door, and I can't get the hookshot from the next temple (wind) because I need Makar to get in and he is not where he is supposed to be (under the waterfall on the forest island).

Ideas?

Why don't you use the Deku leaf to cross it?

You don't use the Hookshot in the Earth Temple.

There's probably something else you have to do for him to appear. I'm almost positive that you can go through the Wind Temple before Earth anyway. But besides, there's probably nowhere to use the Hookshot in the Wind Temple as DD99 said.

Anyway, if using the Deku Leaf doesn't work as suggested by Glaston, maybe you could try playing the Command Melody and see if you can start controlling Medli from where you're at?

You don't use the Hookshot in the Wind-temp-WTF are you people smoking?

You use the hookshot to pull the boss's tongue to you so you can cut it out! And you use it to free Makar (in combination with the Iron Boots).

I don't know exactly what you're talking about, but I'd try the Deku Leaf if I were you.
