Courtyard in Hyrule Castle.

In Hyrule Castle, in Twilight Princess, there's an outdoor room with many weather-vane like things. What's the point of them?

Re: Courtyard in Hyrule Castle.

Filler puzzles.

I'd say I'm kidding but I don't think I am. It just seems like one of those random things that realistically serves no purpose, unfortunately. The same goes for every other puzzle inside Hyrule Castle. There's really no purpose for it but it's there anyway since it's a video game.

EDIT: Totally misinterpreted your post, haha. Listen to the guy below me. I had no idea there was a Hyrule Castle Graveyard though...

Re: Courtyard in Hyrule Castle.

I'm pretty sure that is a puzzle that let's you access the Hyrule Castle graveyard if you solve the puzzle. I remember activating a certain order of the weather-like things, and then gained access the this really weird graveyard in the castle. :/

Re: Courtyard in Hyrule Castle.

Yes it is, you must dig as wolf Link under a pile of leaves at the wall side.

The Wind vanes are for opening a gate, at the gate there's another pile of leaves which shows the order in which the vanes should be activated.

Re: Courtyard in Hyrule Castle.

You don't need the vanes to go to the graveyard. You just dig. What are the vanes for, though?

Re: Courtyard in Hyrule Castle.

You blow them with the gale boomerang and it opens a door. It has nothing to do with the graveyard. You just dig to get to it

Re: Courtyard in Hyrule Castle.

^ What he said, it needs to be blown in a certain sequence of some sort to gain access to it though. I thought it was a pretty well thought out puzzle if you ask me. Took me a while to figure it out.

The purpose of the graveyard is to get an extra key, which can be used right at the end of the castle, just before the boss door for some extra goodies. It's optional though.

Re: Courtyard in Hyrule Castle.

I think the order you have to hit them with the gale boomerang is on the ground if I remember correctly.

[added]
yep, it is under leaves with a triforce is a green "z" that is indicating the order you need to do them

To open the cage. Use your boomerang to blow away the leaves to reveal the way.

Yes it is. It's a beautiful graveyard and you get a small key from there. I have always liked the beauty of the graveyards in Zelda games. They make them so well in the series. Always liked them.
