The Well in Kakariko

(Well, I searched around and couldn't find anything on this...)

But...did any of you notice the well in Kakariko Village in the Graveyard? It was there, pretty bluntly. All boarded up and bolted down.

I'm not saying it is or isn't the well from OoT. But if it was...imagine this: all of the torture-like devices, redeads, the Dead Hand...all of the evil that was there before...Sealed away for lord knows how many years.

Now imagine if that thing were to be re-opened... creeeepy. All that evil spilling forth and all.

Anyway, I just wanted to know if you noticed it...what your thoughts on the well were. Etc. General well-discussion.

Re: The Well in Kakariko

Wasn't it not boarded up, when you were looking for Eldin's tears of light? ...I think you had to come out through there as a Wolf, because there were two bugs down there, and it's where you meet up with Shad later on.

All that's down there is a big ancient canon.

That's right. I guess that Native American looking guy (forgot his name) bested all the evil singlehandedly.

If it was the same well... that could have been a good excuse for another dungeon with some old school characters/villains

Re: The Well in Kakariko

Renado was a preist of some sort, so I reckon that he probably had access to old Sheikah magic, considering how how runs Kakariko Village, and used it to bannished all evil from the well, and then had most of it buried and turned into a celler.

Hang on a minute, maybe Renado's Sanctuary is built over the well, considering the hole, and it Link's to the graveyard now? Ironic, as there used to be a house built there before the Ocarina of Time days.

My Theory it's that Renado is descendant of the Sheikah, considering that he looks like a hylian/human could be that he's of mixed race...specially by the fact that he knows of Hidden Village...odd.

Yeah, he probably is mixed race and has Sheikah heritage. I mean, how else would he get to inherit Kakariko Village? Ancestory, if you ask me. He seemed to know about Hidden Village, too, like you said.

There was Sheikah fortunate teller (red eyes, tear drop synbol on her forehead) in Twilight Princess, and she had the skin of a Gerudo.

I often consider the hole benath Renado's house as the former well enterence because it is a hole and, well, actually in the the village and goes underground, and connects to another hole in the gravyard. Like I said, they probably buried most of the well because of its nature (although, a few cetnuries is enough for time to bury it, anyway) and then... built a house there. Oh dear, it's the one-eyed man all over again. >_>

Yeah i agree, but if Reando's place used to be the entrance to the Well, then where's the Shadow Temple.
the spot where the Shadow Temple it's supposed to be, it's now a shrine and tomb for the royal family of the Zoras.
that spot it's also conected to Lake Hylia.

Re: The Well in Kakariko

It could be the same well, who knows. But since Kakariko currently looks like a bomb-site, then perhaps the well was completely sealed up with no way of re-opening it.

Well (the irony of that world...), the that place where the Zora tomb is was technically where the enterence to the Shadow Temple should be. The Shadow Temple itself was deep behind the graveyard, so it was most likely closed off and buried, along with the well, as they both held evil inside of them. The enternece would simply become Zora's Tomb.

Still, I like to think that they buried them both and blocked them because something bad might have happened in the large timeskip (few cetnuries) between Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess. I wonder if Bongo Bongo's still down there...

well i think there's a hole over the Zora's Tomb...it could be the entrance...or something else.

I have examined the are closely in the past, and there does appear to be a hole there. Most likely the former Shadow Temple enterence... creepy.

It could have been what killed of half the village, but I think that was the Twili invasion... My theories tend to involve "fanfic" (a.k.a when another theorist doesn't like the fact that who they're theorising with has an imagination), too, so I'm glad that you think deeper about it.

Re: The Well in Kakariko

I didn't remember the well in TP. To me, TP's Kakariko Village isn't even the same as the one from OoT. They're completely different. But since someone here said wolf Link comes out of it, it probably isn't the same well from OoT.

About Renado being a Sheikah... In OoT, the village was opened for the public, and no Sheikah lived there. Only because Renado lived in Kakariko doesn't mean he's a Sheikah. And correct me if I'm wrong, but Renado wasn't the only one who knew about the Hidden Village.
