Zelda - Collectors Edition

I'm actually about to get the "Zelda - Collectors Edition", the one with 4 games + 1 demo on it

Well, I was just wondering, is this a rare game? Since it's Collectors Edition, and I don't think it says anywhere on the box that it's "Limited Edition", so that the Collectos Edition isn't Limited... I don't know, but it seems rare enough

And, yeah, I read somewhere that on the front of the box, it's black, but that can also be purple? So that one of them is rarer than the other? Or does it depend on where it was released?

They game is awesome, it has he classics on it along with the N64 Zeldas.

The disk only came with Nintendo Gamecubes as a special promo for a limitd time. I've only seen one in a store once in about six years or how the Gamecube has been out so I think tht it is kind of rare.

I've heard that the Majora's Mask is buggy. I have it for VC and have no problems with that.

It's kinda rare. I think the best part about it is it's the only way you can play LOZ, AOL, and MM without owning an NES or N64

I ordered it from gamestop.com for $30.00 a few months ago.

I was able to get a new copy a couple months ago... though it costed 90$. @_@

In France you got the Collectors Edition dick with Mario Kart. My friend got it that way. I got it with a new GC and game my old one in exchange so I got a new warranty.

There were actually three at the game trading spot where I live, and they were there for a couple months before I got mine, so I guess it depends on where you go.

I used to see copies in stores all the time in Sweden, even though I think the only way you could get it was by being a Swedish Club Nintendo member.

Have a look in your local game stores, used game sections and stuff. If you can't find it have a look on the internet.

And I've never heard of a purple CE box, only seen black ones.

the Collector's Edition should be pretty valuable in a few years or so. So will the Master Quest version. But it's definitely worth your money. I never got an Expansion Pack for the N64, and my old NES had died a few years ago. So the Collector's Edition let me play Majora's Mask and beat the first two games again. I'm just warning you, save often while playing MM. It will freeze once a week or so.

I'm pretty sure all of those are also on the Virtual Console. And I don't think Collector's Edition has A Link to the Past. Probably because the GBA version was already out.

I have it as well but I got it as a free gift for subscribing to Nintendo Power years ago. I only subscribed to Nintendo Power for this game. Since it wasn't directly purchasable through a store I would say it is kind of rare. I have also had no issues with the game.

I was able to get a new one off the internet a couple months ago... Though it costed 90 bucks...

Either get them on the VC or an emulator.

cost me $120 to get mine in australia :S, but it was worth every penny!

There were only 1000 here in the UK (check wikipedia) and I got mine a looooooooooong time ago in a Mario kart double dash gamecube bundle from game, also I got a second sealed one for £20.00 = $40.00 and I gave my old one to my nephew so he can enjoy zelda as well so yes it is rare, however the Majora's Mask runs a bit buggy (especially if you are using rumble) so I suggest that, you download MM on the VC for the best experience! also download OOT on VC , infact just download everything on VC surely it's cheaper and lag free!

I got mine used at a Gamestop a few monthes ago. I only got it because I wanted to play Majora's Mask. My cousin told me to stop the frequent freezings, turn off the rumble feature. Since I always have the rumble feature off, now mine never freezes. But it's weird because I have the Ocarina of Time and the Master Quest version on a different disc, one that you got for um, reserving WW and my file won't upload on the Collectors Edition Ocarina of Time, so I only use that for Majora's Mask.
