Do you think WW needed another dungeon or so?

I just finished beating WW, and although I love the game, I think that it needed at least one more temple. After a rather long quest for the Triforce Shards, I began to think to myself "man, its been a while since I even entered a temple.".

I felt accomplished when I beat WW, but at the end of the day, I felt that the final 1/3 of the game felt slightly empty because of the lack of dungeons near the end.

am I alone when I think this?

Yea, I was dissapointed when there wasnt a temple for Jabun. There was a temple for the Deku Tree and Valoo but for some reason they skipped Jabun. He just gave you the pearl without you having to work for it.

Wind Waker would have been drastically improved if they had just taken out the Triforce hunt. Yeah, It'd be short, but it wouldn't be nearly as tedious.

Re: Do you think WW needed another dungeon or so?

I would like it if the Triforce hunt is in flooded Hyrule, allowing opportunity for us to explore it more. A mini-dungeon for each shard, I'm all for that. That gives a nod to the first LoZ game where we get a shard per dungeon.

They should have definately had a fire and ice sage. Jabun didn't need a temple, the tower of the gods filled in.

Re: Do you think WW needed another dungeon or so?

TWW definitely needed more temples, it felt almost unfinished with the lack of Nayru's Pearl dungeon and Hyrule exploration.

I thought the Triforce Hunt was just fine, though. I'm one of the few people who actually liked it.

I agree that more dungeons would have been nice. I just finished the game and was hoping to explore more in the dungeons that ultimately were not there.

I think development was focused more on the large overworld in this game. Dungeons seem to have been pushed to the wayside.

I would really enjoy that as long as it wasn't leading another person through-out the the dungeon.

Yeah, I kind of felt cheated on when I was just handed Nayru's Pearl. As long as i'm being negative here; I thought that they could have made the triforce hunt a little more entertaining. I mean, that was just awful.

Re: Do you think WW needed another dungeon or so?

the triforce hunt was almost as bad as having to go through the temple of the ocean king 10000 times. haha.

i would of loved a temple for jabun. like seriously, he didnt know if link and the king of red lions was the real deal. haha. well i guess he did, but still! like at least a quiz or something you stupid fish deity! and i think that there should of been a temple where you have to place all of the pearls, instead of just placing them on the stone girls. but i did like the scene after you did place all of them on there=pp haa

Re: Do you think WW needed another dungeon or so?

I agree... The Triforce Hunt was truly the most extensive part of the game, and it bugged me half to hell when I had to go through seven or eight Seahats, four or five Warships, two or three Gyorgs, and those annoying-ass wall cannons just to find a chart leading to the triforce shard on an island with ten times the baddies.

Not to mention the fact that the quest sinks over 3,000 rupees out of your wallet because you have to pay Tingle to get the charts deciphered.

I think they could have had like, 3 triforce shards, or removed that part of the quest entirely. It's the buggiest and most annoying point of the journey, and, to be honest, TWW could have done just as well, if not better, with less work (or none at all) for the Triforce Shards.

Re: Do you think WW needed another dungeon or so?

Even though I was wishing for more temples in the end, I LOVE that Wind Waker only had 2 real temples, 2 dungeons, and the Tower of the Gods. It broke away from the everything = 3 thing that Zelda seems to do a lot. And I love that there was just Earth and Wind, it was nice.

And yeah, that stupid triforce hunt is the WORST!!! Some of the charts are fun, but when I want to play WW, I start a file, get all the pearls then quit because I can't stand to do the hunt all over again... But every now and then I go for the whole thing, its such a great game!!!

Re: Do you think WW needed another dungeon or so?

It should be noted that the japanese version was even more complicated; extra charts needed to find charts and such.

I can see what they were trying to do; trying to get you to explore the whole ocean, but it's just so dull going from place to place. Wind Waker is the only Zelda where I have not made a genuine effort to explore the overworld.

be honest, would you of not explored the whole overworld if there was extra fun quest items to get on some of those pointless islands?

This. I'm just glad they only did that once; for the Ghost Ship chart; you had to find the Ghost Ship Chart to find the Ghost Ship to find the Triforce Chart to find the Triforce Shard...

The whole thing was just a huge pain.

Re: Do you think WW needed another dungeon or so?

Well it might've been nice if they'd have made a real ice dungeon instead of just a mini-dungeon, but I actually thought the game was pretty good dungeon-wise other than that.

Re: Do you think WW needed another dungeon or so?

Well, as much as I liked this game and all of the stages (even if an extra one never hurt) I don't think it needed anything else, because I mean, you don't wanna make the story too long and besides, there were so many islands out there and just about every island had a treasure of challenge to obtain, I'd say it was fine as it was. =)
