This Beta stuff is really interesting.
Especially learning about the giant who was pictured with Link and the pack of dogs, it really felt like Twilight Princess was an incomplete game, and the stuff that didn't make it in sound really cool.
It would have been awesome if they kept that section of the forest, and you would find a friendly Giant who walks around it at different times in the day, and at night it would be packed with Stalfols.

There was no Muslim outrage.
And it wasn't because the chanting was in a temple devoted to an evil dragon, the chanting was taken out because people get butthurt easily and Nintendo thought some Muslims would get offended.
Koji Kondo and his team probably found the chanting as a sample (it is blatantly a sample of Arabic prayer) and thought it would be cool to put in.

It's not really wasting game space.
Developers come up with stuff, and they decide it's not going to be in the final game, but rather than spend the time removing the stuff and redoing the maps so that perspective doesn't ruin them and such and such, they just keep the beta stuff in the game.
Missingno., funny enough, was not really a waste of game space. Missingno. was sort of a fail-safe against the possibility of not encountering any Pokemon, but still entering battle. Missingno. kept your game from crashing.
