The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords

I've been contemplating purchasing this game on GC for Wii. I really don't know anything about it, and haven't seen much written about the game in the forums (I could be wrong, I only searched it just recently). Anyway, I was wondering if someone could give me the 411 on this game and if it's worth buying (well, yeah it's worth buying, but you know what I mean).

Also, if you want, you can come here and discuss the game, and so forth - it'll give me a better understanding, anyway.

grazie!

Re: The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords

I personally enjoyed it. You control four Links at once, (unless you play with another 1-3 players.) and quest through Hyrule. Although, you don't travel the overworld like you normally do in Zelda games, instead of wondering about you are put in sort of "levels" much like the Mario games. But each level is big and there are about 8 regions each with 3 levels, (not counting the final level.) So it's very linear.

But it was very fun for me to travel around each level, conquering everything by observing and discovering, so even though it's linear you still are given pretty much a blank slate in each different level, so it IS sort of like ALttP.

Also, you don't gain items like you normally do as well. Every time you start a new level, no matter what you had before you will start out with 3 hearts, 4 Links, each with a shield and sword. Withing the levels you find items such as bombs and boomerangs etc. But the catch is that you can only carry one item at a time, and each Link has to have the same item.

It brings a lot of strategic skill into play, but it is VERY fun and I reccomend it.

Uh, first off, Four Swords isn't a GB game. It's a GBA game that comes with ALttP on the GBA. Second, handhelds aren't on the Wii's VC. Third, if you're talking about Four Swords ADVENTURES, that is a GC game, not a GB game.

It's a fun game to play with friends...though not so much alone. I was lucky enough to have 3 other friend with GBAs that would play with me. We had a blast...and I have to admit some of the levels in this game have the hardest puzzles EVER! I can't tell you how badly this game can stump a group of players. xD

Re: The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords

You can play FSA on the Wii just fine.

With one-player you can use the GCN controller but when you play 2-4 player you're forced into using only the GBAs.
