Well, maybe it isn't so far fetched after all. OOT Link lost Navi (or whoever the lost friend in MM is). He was quite alone because he didn't fit anywhere.

maybe it's Gustav. You know the hero of men, not time.

I think he's tthe Oot Link I mean theres so many things pointing to it.

The most popular beleif is that Hero Shade is the OoT Link. There are alot of points that are very convincing to support this beleif but also a few points that discourage the belief, Hero Shade's height for example. I personally don't beleive either of the beleifs, but if i had to choose which one I beleived the most it would be that he is the Link from OoT because of all the convincing facts.

The Hero's Shade says that after teaching Link the Great Spin so this could indicate that he was indeed the original Hero of Time.

Yeah, i believe that the Hero's Shade is OoT Link.
it might be disscused in the next game(Zelda Wii), since the Zelda Wii leaked artwork appears to depict a Link that has great resemblance to Adult OoT Link.
I will be more than happy if Zelda Wii turns out to be a MM sequel.

He is actually a previous Link. When he teaches you the last move, he tells you that he was the hero before you.
