Strategy Guide Buyers

Ha, I got the Wii guide for TP and played through the 'cube version with it (coz I was borrowing TP and wanted to finish it fast), and then later got the 'cube version. lawl

I don't buy guides or use online guides. I prefer the old fashioned way of testing your skill. xP


The only time I've EVER really cheated on a game was getting my mate, ToT to help me out on a certain TP moment. Apart from that I kinda steer clear of cheating at games. xP

I usually beat games the hard way too: much more enjoyable that way.

I have at least one strategy guide for nearly every Zelda game made, for reasons similar to Hylian Dan, but also because I lose patience in dungeons and while collecting stuff in the overworld and just look them up. *prepares to be crucified*

Oddly, the two games I don't have guides for are OoT and MM--arguably the two greatest games in the series.

thats okay, Rew. i have to look up a FAQ on GameFAQS for almost every game i play. >< I lose patience in the dungeons fairly quickly, but i dont buy player's guides.

I love the player's guide to OoT, though. (My brother bought it, or got it as a perk when he purchased the game.) I love how it reads and works. It reads like it's chronicling Link's treks thru the dungeons, not like a walkthrough. ha ha, one of my favorite lines from it reads, "Many times [Link] wished he had a magical book that showed him exactly where to look."

I only ever got the guide for Wind Waker, and I used it after I'd done my own run through to know about all the islands and such. So it was more of an extra value after play experience for me, plus I got it cheaper as I bought it with Wind Waker.

I try not to use guides in general as you have the sense of self pride you get from finishing the game all on your own. Some games I'm poor though and can't stop myself from scouring the net . Zelda's never been one of those games though.

I have MC, WW (With bonus OoT guide), and TP guide, I had an OoA/S guide but i lost it ;_;

I have one for almost all of the Zelda games. Heh, I guess you could say I'm a collector.

I've bought guides for WW, TP, PH. I used to have one for MM, but lost it, working on getting another one now. And I borrowed one for OoT years ago at my first attempt at 100%. I think that about covers it.

I've never used a Strategy Guide, nor can I remember any time I've used an internet guide. As a matter of fact, I've never even seen a Zelda Strategy Guide let alone touched one or opened one. My brother had one for Kingdom Hearts 2, and that's the only one I've seen. Ever.

I only get help on a game if I'm like extremely stuck on a part and have tried everything I could think of. I never buy strategy guides, I get that stuff free off the web, saves me ten bucks.

I've never bought one. My little brother got the Prima guide for TP, but I immedeately called him stupid because internet guides are 100x better.

Yeah, internet guides are OK, but I still like the book ones where you can sit and read them whenever you like, and you dont need a computer with you.

I have 3 guides, none of which I personally have tried to use on the first play through of the games. It kind of ruins the experience the first time. I have aLttP, TWW, and PH.

I got the TP and PH ones for free for renewing my Nintendo Power subsciption.

I have the Prima guides for Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, and Phantom Hourglass.

I got the TP limited edition Prima one since it was a "Collector's Item"!!11!!11
