Favourite Province

In Twilight Princess, Hyrule was divided up into six different Provinces (sections). These were:

Ordona Province
Faron Province
Eldin Province
Lanayru Province
Desert Province
Peak Province

My favourite was the Faron Province, it just seems so large and forest- like, it is truly great.
Anyway, what are your favourite Provinces in Twilight Princess?

Re: Favourite Province

Definitely the Faron province. The only pet peeve I have with it is that the foggy forest retains the obnoxious purple haze.

I completely agree with you. That purple haze is tremendously annoying, and it was possibly a mistake by the developers to leave it there when you have saved the Faron Province from evil.

Re: Favourite Province

They could have made a set of torches in the forest that you needed to light. When all of them are lit a chest is revealed and the haze is gone.

Does anyone know the purpose of the two torches on the other side of the afro man's shack?

Re: Favourite Province

They were all pretty basic. The Desert Province really had nothing in it, neither did the Peak Province. Ordona Province was just a village, Eldin was mostly base fields, and Lanayru was a bit to complex to get around for my liking. Faron was alright was a bit small for a 'large' forest. Meh, at least it wasn't wasted space. If I really had to pick one, the Peak province had great views, so...

To be perfectly honest, I have tried lighting the torches and nothing occured, therefore their purpose is shrouded in mystery. But they could possibly be training sessions for using the lantern.

That would explain it.

So, this may be a BIT off topic, but does anyone else find it extremely obnoxious that after you get the sword and sheild in Ordon village that the squirells leave and don't return? Also how the hole to the spring gets mysteriously boarded up, and that the scarecrow dummies no longer have buckets ontop of their pumpkin heads?

Don't the squirrels return? I never noticed that, well- spotted!
That is a shame, I thought they really added to the scenery. I never noticed the other two things, either, you really have a great eye for detail!

However, the scarecrow stays there so you can practice your archery, and hidden skills. I like to use it to see how far I can hit it from.

Re: Favourite Province

I guess the Faron Province would have to be my favourite, I love the look and atmosphere of the woods.

Peak, just because I love snow.
And Faron, because the scenery is nice.

Re: Favourite Province

I always liked Faron myself...and it holds the coolest part of Hyrule Field. Yeah, Faron. So nice and wood-sy.
