What do you think of Zant as a boss?

Zant was great, I'll admit. When he goes berserk on you it completely ruins his character but as far as his looks and the fight (and even before you find out he's psycho) he was really great and probably as good as, if not, better than Ganondorf.

I totally didn't expect Zant to actually change the stages and testing if you remember what on earth to do not to mention the amount of items you had to use. My favorite stage was the final one at Hyrule where he went completely nuts!

he was cool with the helmet on but when he took it of he looked stupid as heck and he was seriusly mesed up fun boos tough.

I thought he was one of the best bosses because it was like fighting all the bosses in one fight, so i thought that was fun, I think it's a good change compared to having to fight all the bosses all over again in Wind Waker.

Zant was a deeper chracter then I'd expect, he was mentally weak, desperate and power hungry.
I thought The fight was fun

I completely agree with this. I also think part of his insanity came from the fact that in the end, he knew he was being used by Ganondorf. He knew he was only a simple-minded puppet of Ganondorf's, but he craved to be the Ruler of the Twilight Realm so much that he was willing to do whatever it took to reach that goal. Its amazing what such a lust for power can do to someone.

Zant was probably the toughest boss I fought in my second playthrough of the game. Of course I had only 3 hearts, burnt my shield off, and had no fairies. Had there not been so many hearts you could get during the fight, I would have lost. This, of course, falls second to my toughest TP fight ever... 2 Iron Knuckles with only 3 hearts, no shield or hidden skills. That took a while to beat.

I'm not so sure about that. After you defeat him, he says his god will resurrect him without cease. I think he figured it out after Midna pulverized him, though. But seeing as how he lost it before you even fought him, I doubt it was because he found out the truth.

I thought he was an interesting boss, but I found him a little annoying after he goes physco.

I thought he was quite the fussy type, but childish and hilarious
when you beat him, I thought Zant was gonna be someone like Ganon by his appearances with Midna, and the cut scene when you first me meet Zelda LOL Overall he is one of favorite bosses.
Talk about a 360 turn.

Near the beginning of the game, I thought Zant had everything that made a cool, powerful and dangerous villain. However, I was very disappointed with the boss fight - he was my least favourite boss by far.

If he had kept the evil and menacing look throughout the whole game, he would have probably been my favourite character in the whole of the Zelda series.

Zant was cool until he got rid of his mask.

I thought he was ok. He only took a few hits to kill him and I wish that the LoZ creators would give us a miniboss that actually took some time to kill. One that will make you sit back and go whoo! when it's over and then immediately panic over the thought of a power surge and making you have to scramble and knock over a few lamps to save your game.

Disappointed. He just...used the other bosses arena and moves. I expected more from him. like when you were fighting his clone-like beings when you were getting the Sols. That would've been fun..fighting him along with his minions to make the fight worthwhile. He could have kept the mask on to make more creepy in a way

I agree. Zant wasn't too hard of boss, but he most definitely was a very entertaining one at that. I don't think they want to go and make an extremely difficult boss for fear that people are going to get pissed at the difficulty and give up on the game. You also have to look at how the nature of Zelda isn't to have real difficult bosses so I don't think they'll just go and change that over night.

Well yeah, but that's what made him such a fun boss. He wasn't all serious and evil. He was silly, goofy, and fun to fight which made him so very different from all the other bosses.

People should stop complaining about Zant.Youd all b moaning if he kept his mask on the whole time.

I liked Zant.

The cut scene before you fight him (IMO) was creepy and good. He was twisted .. literally hehe and I don't know made me feel unsettled. Was good to see a in-depth story behind him aswell.

The boss fight was fun but it was easy, was good to go back to all the old boss dungeons but yeah they could have made it a hell of alot harder.
