Found something interesting in TP today

I just love TP in so many ways i mean SERIOUSLY i was just walkin around and i found a whole "mini dungeon" in the middle of hyrule field. It was a thing where you slide ice blocks to activate the switch I was thinkin "wow this thing took me about a whole 30 minutes to complete and it took what? a fourth of a percent of memory for this game?

Thats when i realized just HOW big TP is

made me think of GTA for a minute

Re: Found something interesting in TP today

Yeah, those extra areas hidden throughout Hyrule are a great find. One of the most fun things for me on my first play-through was to search in the circular patches of grass for dig spots and hidden Grottos. Twilight Princess is a large, detailed game. My favourite dig spot of all is the one at the back of the barn in Ordon Village ranch. It contains a gold chu, which comes in quite useful.

Does anyone else know of any really good dig spots? ive found quite a lot, but it would be good to hear of more.

Another place in Hyrule is near Kakriko Gorge is another cave. You can explore through it like you would the little side caves all over.

The little rock area you exit entering Hyrule field is the place. You take a right (left on Wii) and run to a rock in the side of the wall. You know the drill, blow up rock, follow paths, get poes and heart piece and exit.

On the Great Bridge, there's a spot you can clawshot up to get rupees. In the field that you fight king bublin the first time (Eldin Bridge FTW), there's a huge brown patch of grass you can dig into.

I think I have found all of them. After I beat the game I went back and searched for secret areas and found so many.

i really like this one spot (i forget where it is- somewhere in hyrule field) where theres an underground fishing hole... that was fun. you can catch like everyhting there i think. except reekfish.
yep, cant have a zelda game without an ice puzzle like that now can we?
took me 10 minutes believe it or not. those ice puzzles are my some of my favorite puzzles in the game!

Re: Found something interesting in TP today

I loved finding caves and grottos. There's a lot of little fishing holes and other secrets in Twilight Princess. I found a couple of personal fish record breakers in some of those underground grottos. I found one fishing grotto filled with bombfish and skullfish. I know it's possible to catch them, but I still haven't gotten one yet.

I also didn't know you could fish in Lanaryu's sacred cave; it was a pleasant surprise. It was also a lot of fun to find the secret room and the treasure chests hidden away in there. It might just be my favourite spot in Twilight Princess. I love how the fairies fly around you and rest on your head when you stay still. So cute. :XD

Re: Found something interesting in TP today

This one is great if you suck at rollgoal. I found that in most caves with underground ponds in them, you can catch hylian loaches (they are nowhere near the size of the ones Henas place though).

Also at lake hylia, on the way to the tower where auru is, if you bomb a wall you'll find a huge cave. Lanter oil is required, as it is pitch black and there are several bottomless pits. I used 3 bottles of oil and still wasn't able to explore the whole thing. There are fire keese, torch slugs, tektights, and I think some bulblins in the parts I explored. They seemed to get progresivly harder eniemies, so I bettinf there is a darknut or something at the end. Exploring this cave is one of my main goals now that I've beaten TP a second time (I didn't even find this on my 1st play).

Woah I so have to find that today, thanks for sharing. Its a shame I play this for aimless hours and I don't looks for these things! I would find things all the time in TWW but in this one, I don't know why I haven't gone exploring..

Sadly no there isnt a darknut at the end, but there are about two or three poes in there as well as some dodongos. At the end is a way out and a Heart piece though, so you don't have to go through the entire place again and you get a prize.

You don't need to bring more than on bottle of oil. There are a bunch of yellow chu chus in there that you can use for lantern oil.

Do you not realise that yellow chu jelly can be used as lantern oil? If so, then don't keep your lantern out the whole time and it will last.
