Kakariko Graveyard: disappointing

Was anyone disappointed that there wasn't much of anything to the graveyard? I moved the headstones expecting to find a secret tunnel into some tombs but instead I got five rupees. Now that I think about it, there really wasn't much secret anything in this game.

Yeah, I agree. I loved going into graveyards and I loved the horror themed dungeons.

Hell yeah, it was a little square. No secret holes inside the graves, no hut. Nothing.

TP's graveyard was the worst in Zelda. You had nothing to do there.

Yes, but to get the Zora Armor. I think they ditched the whole "Find tunnels in Graves"

Re: Kakariko Graveyard: disappointing

I wish they would've had the graveyard in the "secret town"....since that is supposed to be the Old Kakariko village, they could've had the old grave keepers hut and everything, maybe a mini dungeon for a useless item or something. As for the new Kakariko...yeah they should've added a few more details (trees, stand out graves, etc) And two holes...maybe one for rupees...and another leading to one of those small gauntlets to get a heart piece or something.

Re: Kakariko Graveyard: disappointing

I was pretty dissapointed in it. They could have at least put in some re-deads, gibdos, or those skeleton boars in the graveyard. It would have been nice to see Dampe come back too. He's a nice addition to the graveyards in Zelda games.

Re: Kakariko Graveyard: disappointing

You got the Zora Armour there, and learnt a Hidden Skill. I hate those graveyard tunnels, besides, ReDeads are too hard to fight early on in the game. The crows are cool, too. Stop dissing TP dammit.

Re: Kakariko Graveyard: disappointing

yeah, but at least it was something to do, a new place to explore. TP on the whole is actually only surface deep, unlike OoT. The Graveyard is only one example. Kakariko has nothing much to do in it, and neither does the Hidden Village or Castle Town. Speaking of which, was anybody else disappointed by this? The hidden village for instance was dead: devoid of anything interesting.

Re: Kakariko Graveyard: disappointing

The Graveyard was...cool. However, I do agree it could have been better. OoT's Graveyard had more to it than TP's did. Pulling tombstones in order to get some things, fighting those Redeads. Yes, Karkariko Graveyard in TP could have improved.

Re: Kakariko Graveyard: disappointing

As I see it, Death Mountain had an eruption, Kakariko dried out from the heat, and the plates shifted, causing the village to be "smushed." The graveyard was apparently injured greatly, though on the plus side the Well and Shadow Temple are gone.

Re: Kakariko Graveyard: disappointing

Yeah I was a little disappointed with the graveyard. The only real secret is killing all the crows/birds at the back of the graveyard. I wanted to find tunnel or something underneath one of the tombs but oh well. Just another reason OoT is better than TP.

Re: Kakariko Graveyard: disappointing

Yeah, for a game that took so long to make, TP just hasn't lived up to or surpassed OoT, which is a shame since the graphics overhaul was so great.

Re: Kakariko Graveyard: disappointing

*is happy she can finally discuss TP*

Come on. It was a relief. No more stupid poes everwhere, and no more readeads at every turn. It's more realistic. The gravestones were nicely placed, I thought. The overall theme was lovely.

And there's still horror themed stuff, people. It's just located outside of the graveyards. Come on, how predictable would that be?

Re: Kakariko Graveyard: disappointing

Well, I agree that it was a new change of pace, but I've always loved exploring the graveyards for something exciting. For some poes or redeads. I've always expecting the graveyards to be a place in the game where scary things are bound to happen, so, to me, it was disappointing.

My favorite thing would always be to move the tomb stones, to find exciting passageways. : D

So much for that. D:

Exactly! And what happened to all the mini games in Kakariko? Or in any city for that matter?

Re: Kakariko Graveyard: disappointing

Now, if they just went on and made new everything, it wouldn't make sense.

I like seeing the same things change. It gives it a more mature and, well, realistic point of view. In OoT where Link goes through tunnels in graves is silly, to me. And now Kakariko seems to fit the entire timeline of the game better. (although I can name lots and lots of silliness in the game, there's always bad parts)

I still like it more.

Re: Kakariko Graveyard: disappointing

I didn't like how there was not much to do in the graveyard. The creators left in the well, but they could have made a way to get into it and have like a secret dungeon, like in OOT.

Re: Kakariko Graveyard: disappointing

In fairness they had alot to live up to by putting in a graveyard at all. That said, there were so few actual gravestones there... It's just as if a group of people moved into the village, most died and were buried, and now the population is down to the measly three.
