Re: Could the Hero's Shade be old Link?

I'm wondering how TP Link got granted the Hero's clothes anyway. I know "it is said that the Hero of old once used these garbs before you", but who gives the clothes to Link. The godesses perhaps?

He shapeshifted a lot, actually, back in the day (OoT, MM). And the Hero's Shade didnt have much of a personality of you paid attention, he was kind of bland, as they had left Link form the n64.

Yeah, by putting on masks, not by some unseen means that could change him into multiple unrelated forms without having to change into his real form first. And the skeleton mentor actually spoke, which we won't ever be seeing Link do, outside of choosing "yes" or "no" or somesuch.

If he one with the undead, who knows what hes capable of?

And thats an over analysis. The fact that he has a bland personality is as clse as they could get it. They couldnt exactly have him just stand there could they? Besides, Link in OoT was supposed to be talking, and responding and everything. They just never showed you. Like when Malon (Romani) asked him his name and such.

Re: Could the Hero's Shade be old Link?

Best I could find at the moment.

The shield is round, and doesn't resemble the mirror shield as someone said before.
Honestly, he doesn't resemble any Link at all.
I figure he's just a powerful knight who died and feels it is his duty to pass on the knowledge. Obviously he's not literally a skeleton, as he changes form from wolf to skeleton, and Link is in the same place when he returns.
So it appears that he could be taken into his own mind and taught by this spirit how to enact certain skills.

Then how would he know all the same stuff?

And it does look like the mirror shield: the MM one. Which was round, and brown.

TP is not a sequel to OoT. MM is the sequel to OoT.

He said sequel. That means right after. So it's not a sequel because it comes after MM.

Re: Could the Hero's Shade be old Link?

I was thinking the same thing when I beat that skeleton mofo. I was wondering if it was supposed to be old Link. This is much more than reading in too deep if I wasn't the only one who thought so. I'm pretty sure that's what they were thinking.

A sequel is something that comes after, not necessarily right after.

You've all got some really interesting points, I would believe most of them to be honest!

I just wanted to point out that Link speaks in WW, he says "Come On!" =] When he calls the statues in the Tower of the Gods.
