Did blades bleed? Sheilds break?

Now, compare Spaceworld Link to TP Link

IMO, SW Link seemed too bright and colorful. There wasn't all that much detail and he looked feminine.

TP Link looks so much better thant SW Link. Both physically AND graphicly.

Pretty glad they didn't go with SW.

Also, I thought it would be interesting to see the first few trasilers after playing TP.

The first one gave a very LotR effect. TP wasn't so much about a huge war as it was a hero trying to defeat evil.
Then again, I guess both are inter-changable.

Although, I'm interested in knowing where some of that music went.

Shields didn't shatter, they burned. =(

And blades didn't bleed either.

Anyway, TP is indeed much different than the first few trailers. I really would've loved to see a massive battle on the field, though.

Coulda been worse. I was satisfied over all, it would have been awsome to see a larger Faron Province. (More wooded area)

Blades made people bleed and shields shattered defenses.

Anyway, the game was fine, and the reason there was no massive field battle was because all of the monsters were guarding the dungeons.

One of the first things I noticed in TP was that the battle with the goblin king in Hyrule Field was very different from what was described in the trailers.

Seeing as how there was really no blood in the game whatsoever, blades didn't really bleed. And the swordfight with Gannondorf was extremely different from that fight, but then again that fight wasn't a promise. Would have been awesome. Gannondorf was great and all, but the cornrowish things kinda turned me off to him.

Shields did shatter... my patience whenever I tried to do a shield attack.

I don't think the bleeding blades and shattering shields thing was supposed to be taken litterally. It was just a few of those cool phrases that naturally go with a cool trailer.

Just look at movie trailers, they use phrases like these all the time - sometimes they don't even match the actual movie plot but it attracts an audience.

It was a 60 second tech demo showcasing Nintendo Gamecube. Lots and lots of fans thought it was going to be the sequel to Ocarina of Time

But it's fun that the actual Ganondorf battle in TP is very similar to the fight in the spaceworld footage, only outdoors.

Anyway, the "battle" that was shown in the 2004 TP trailer was not as impressive as the actual battle in the game. In the trailer, it's just 4 boars and some troops standing on the top of a hill while in the game you have about 5 boars chasing you around while you try to deal some damage on the boss = works a lot better and is more impressive IMO.

The Hyrule field fight with the king boar was the part of the game that was given the most attention from the media, a trailer featuring it as its main thing, and it was in the demo that was played too. It just didn't live up to the hype, which is why I stopped actually caring about TP before it came out. I was afraid the hype was too much for it so I basically stopped listening to news about it.

That Spaceworld video has nothing to do with Twilight Princess. It wasn't meant to be any game footage, it's just showing off Gamecube's power. As you can see, it was released in 2000....seven years ago.

Its actually impossible for blades to bleed because they're made out of metal.

Just thought that was worth saying.

The SpaceWorld Link looks like the SSBM Link. He's also got the Majora's Mask Hylian Shield. TP link however, looks loads better. You have to remember though that SW was just to test the GameCube's graphics power, not to showoff the next Zelda.
