Fyer and Falbi? More serious.

Okay, sorry if there have already been threads about this, but I just felt like making a discussion about these creeps. Personally, the pair of them just scare the living daylights out of me. What's your opinion?

I'm mean like, they do good things for you and all, but seriously, couldn't they make the cannon operator a sort of big bulky guy with a big grunty voice who probably be running a cannon? Why'd they have to make it a little hunchbacked depressed old man clown?

As for Falbi... eww. He's the stupidest dressed man I have ever seen. I think it should have been some girl much like Anju from Majora's Mask/ocarina of Time, not some creepy clown. I mean, that guy must be trying to avoid getting business.

What are your thoughts?

I like these two new people. They look hilarious!
The idea that someone like that runs a cannon business and operates it by rotating a music box thingamawhat is great.
If I had to choose between these guys and Tingle....then I choose the clowns.
These two provide some much needed comedy.

Eh, I must admit, they are about 1000 times better than Tingle. I hate that little Kokiri poser! He's more a freak than Falbi, which is saying something.

Who could hate that awesome catch-phrase "Koooloooo Limpa".

Well, I must admit, he was cool in Majora's Mask. However, they are overdoing him nowadays. I thought the 35 year old "Kokiri" was enough in one game.

"Koolooo Limpah!!" Man, I always loved that in Majora's Mask. He would do a little backflip that was a little too slow for reality and throw confetti in the air. Go Tingle(In Majora's Mask)!

..but this isn't a thread about Tingle, now is it? It's about Fyer and Falbi.

I dislike thoose two clowns a lot. I think there freaks and they probably freinds with M.J.

I dislike them both, but I found I disliked Falbi more. He seemed "creepier" than Fyer for some reason.

Same with me. Fyer was enough to stand, but Falbi... ugh.

I don't mind them, know i have a phobia of clowns, i mean i have real clown issues but these dudes don't really bother me.

I actually enjoyed Fyers character. The irony of an old bitter man dressed like a clown was just hilarious.

Now Falbi is another story, I was completely disgusted by his lack of clothing and excessive amounts of hair from the waist up. Once I got the heart piece from his minigame I never returned to his shop. It seems that Nintendo has a need to put characters like Falbi in Zelda games.

I had the same sort of impression you had. Fyer was okay and had a point to be in the game. Falbi however, did NOT get that same gratitude. He is way beyond creepy.

...back to Fyer because I can't stand to talk about Falbi any more. So anyway, Fyer is pretty handy, for he helps you Get out of Lake Hylia, Go to the Gerudo Desert, and repair the Cannon to the Castle in the Sky. Now that I think about it, Fyer isn't all that bad... and it's cool how he has a Bullet Bill on his right sleeve.

I understand that game designers have a need to express their "creative sides", but unlike Tingle in other games, who was marginally tolerable, these two guys detract from the Zelda mystique and make the game feel more like a bizzaro world than a Zelda game. When I play TP, I will do everything I can to avoid going into the cuccoo flight building, as Falbi scares me more than Fyer does. Bad move on Nitendo's part to put them in there, seriously...

I never use the cuccos, even though its a really easy way to make a lot of money

I like fyer and falbi! fyer's character is interesting and gives you a chuckle where as falbi's character is funny in the creepy way and I swear he hits on link. They both appear to have been part of a circus and then moved to lake hylia, which I find makes the characters a bit more interesting.


Mind you I am a big fan of tingle as well (majora's mask vers mostly) so maybe these characters are an acquired taste?

Fyer and Falbi were supposed to be clowns? I didn't know that...xP

Otherwise I would have been scared of them out of my wits. I'm...culrophobic. It's hard for me to admit because I find it embarrassing. Anyway, I wasn't afraid of those guys. Heck, I didn't mind them. At least they weren't annoying freaks like Tingle...

^ it can't be that embarrassing, just about everyone I know claims to be culrophobic, not saying you aren't.

I thought they were kind of funny. I liked Fyer a lot more, but Falbi didn't bother me all that much. They're just weird. I don't think they take away from what Zelda is, Zelda has always had weird stuff like that.

Fyer was cool! I like him! He had the crusty old carnie deal down pat! He reminded me of a circus member who worked the cannon act. Thats basically what he was! He wasnt all creepy because he was like "Yeah im getting no business. meh..OH HEY! that guy has a boss looking cannon! Lemmie at that rig!"

Falbi had no real character except as the fruity dude with the chickens.
