Question Kokiri gone?!

This has been bothering me for a while and since I havent figured it out, I was wondering if ZU could help me.

What happened to the Korkiri? They were in OoT but they werent in TP, yet they were in WW just with a different names!(Koroks) Did they like go on a vacation for 100 years or something? It just seems sorta weird....

Re: Kokiri gone?!

My guess is that the race couln't play much of a role enough to be in TP. But then the Ordona people are pretty useless, too

There really is no explantion for their nonexistence. If you think about it, Ordon is where their village should be.

Re: Kokiri gone?!

Thats true, Ordon is right where Kokiri forest was. Hmm..could it be possible that maybe they ARE present, just not shown? Maybe they live in the forest on the other side of the cliff and the area they currently live in just isn't shown to us. Remember, we also don't see the Deku tree, but we know that it must be there somewhere. In Oot the skull kid stays close to the Kokiri forest. Perhaps he is still hanging out close to it?

Re: Kokiri gone?!

Well, um...
*spoiler*, sort of
There is at least one skullkid though and if I remember right, Skullkids once were Kokiri. So, this is only my thought, but I think Kokiri may have lost their magic that kept them from transforming, (in other words, their original home is gone) and so they live hiding around the Sacred Grove. I also match this with my theory about WW Koroks, who could be Kokiris. Just my wild and err, possibly inaccurate guess, but I think Kokiri first turned into Skullkids and after that, near the era of WW, Great Deku Tree transformed them into Koroks to survive the flood and live above the surface.

Yeah, I believe it's true, that Kokiri exist eitherway (as Kokiri or Skullkids) but like Arenas64 said, they just didn't have any role to play in TP, therefore Nintendo didn't put them there. They could've felt little forced, since there's already so much OoT:ish features in TP. Some sort of "development" in the history of Hyrule, perhaps, that the Kokiri, like Gerudos, are no longer where they used to be.

Re: Kokiri gone?!

Well the absense of their presense from the game doesn't mean they're no longer in existance. Indeed, before TP we had no knowledge of the Twili yet clearly they were always there. The same can be said for the Minish and the Oocoo. It's fair to say that if they don't have a significant role to play in the story the most they'll manage to appear as is a cameo, much as the Goron's did in WW.

We already know that the Kokiri are the guardian spirits of the forest with the capability of changing form (remember the forest beings from WW) so it's possible we may have encountered them without realising.

Do Korkiri die of old age?(Meaning they live so long that they die)

Re: Kokiri gone?!

Who knows, maybe when the Temple of Time was built in the forest, the Korkiri were scared off. Or, the skull kid we saw was leading the other Korkiri as puppets?

I think that they're ever-lasting.

Skull Kids are Kokiri that became lost in the Lost Woods, as said in OoT.

In TP:
There was a Skull Kid in the Sacred Grove. There has to be more scattered around that area. Maybe the Forest Temple in the Faron Province was the Deku Tree and another Deku Seed sprouted later after the flood in TWW.

Re: Kokiri gone?!

Well, logically, the Korkiri live in the forest with all the big trees? Ordon village is located in the only big forest in the game. The korkiri forest isn't going to be replaced by Lake Hylia is it? Plus, both on the south side of their respective maps.
