So... I found the answer to my own question.

Facing the rear of the chest, you go left, and head toward the pillars, in which if you'll look up, you'll see a clawshot target. Pull yourself up there, and you'll notice you'll hang from the ledge. Drop down to the small alcove, and use the spinner to go across the gap, right before the halfway mark, use B to use the spinner to leap to the alcove that sits in the middle of the stairs. You should land a few feet in front of the chest, which contains 100 rupees.

Also, for another 100 rupee chest:

Go back to the clawshot target, pull yourself up to it, and then pull yourself to the ledge with the flagpole. Switch to Wolf form and traverse the rope, and then switch back to Human form. Drop down, but only enough where Link catches himself before he falls, and then shimmy across to the other ledge, on the right. Switch back to Wolf form once you reach the opposite alcove and traverse the OTHER rope. Now, you should be on the other flagpole turrent, opposite of the one you were just on when you pulled yourself up with the clawshot. You'll see another chest, open it for your 100 rupee prize.

You have to be Wolf Link and sense/dig for it. I don't remember which room it's in though.

Re: Best Strategy Guide Ever!!!

How hard is it to follow the prima guide compared to the NP guide? I though it was supposed to be very specific?

That's the problem. It's too specific. To the point that it's jumbled.

Well if it's specific to the point where they tell you EXACTLY what to do, then what's so hard to follow?

its only organized well if you plan to actually follow the guide from the start of the game to the end.

if you're like me and just use the guide for a couple things, to find a couple hard to get bugs or poes or whatever... dont get the PRIMA! it would be impossible to find in the book where exactly to get them because they arrange all the items you find in the order the game goes.

the NP guide has a section in the back designated for the items and stuff to collect. much easier to follow.

I'd think most people would want to figure most of the puzzles out yourself and use the guide whenever you're completely stuck, its much funner that way. so NP is better for that

Thanks for the heads up. I'll still get the prima guide for collection purposes, and well...just because it looks sweet!

Re: Best Strategy Guide Ever!!!

Yes, though the guide may not be the most player friendly guide, it's book shelf charisma alone is enough to get it.

I looked at Bestbuy.com today and saw which stores in my area have it in stock and it's reading as them all having it in stock, so I'll be the proud owner of this baby in a few hours.

Did you ever get the contents of the chest at the south Hyrule Castle gate that you were talking about?

Re: Best Strategy Guide Ever!!!

Don't judge a book by it's cover..............

On this inside they are all the same, but this one is $30 USD, while NP is only $15USD.

though I have to admit it's nice and the cover won't fall off like a paper back.........

Re: Best Strategy Guide Ever!!!

How are the maps in the prima guide compared to the NP guide? I have the NP guide, and the Temple walkthroughs are very vague, and the maps are pretty lame.

Re: Best Strategy Guide Ever!!!

I have both guides and IMO the primas guide really is only "better" if you use it from the beginning of the game to make sure you are getting every heart piece, poe soul, golden bug, bottle...etc at the absolute earliest possible moment in the game. The guide is tough to follow and can be difficult to find a certain task with the way its laid out. The NP guide is way easier to read and follow and has all the little things like heart pieces etc.. at the end of the guide.

In the NP guide, the Temple walkthoughs are numbered, with text corresponding to the map. Is the prima guide setup the same way?
