Re: Magic Armor
Not really.
When you collect 60 poes and give them to Jovani (I think that's his name), he'll give you infinite rupees. So, technically you can become immortal (after giving the 60 poes and if the Magic Armor is equipped). I'd imagine it'd be fun zipping through the Cave of Ordeals with the Magic Armor on the entire time. Invincibility is the only purpose of the Magic Armor (plus it looks better then the other tunics I suppose).

Re: Magic Armor
It's AWESOME! Magic armor is very helpful if you're low on life and hasn't gotten a heart in awhile. It's actually really cool. Now in TWW I just have to say that if you put that on and you have your mask that lets you see health and Skull hammer and your iron boots and magic armor you look like Blitzkreig Link. I was talkin about TP up until Now in TWW.

Re: Magic Armor
The magic armor really helps in the Cave of OrdealsEspecially when you have to fight three darknuts at the same time.

Re: Magic Armor
Okay wait, i'm confused.
1. How many rupees does it subtract? 2. When the guy gives you infinite rupees, how much does he give you? Do you have to give him 60 poes and be wearing the armor every time for him to do that or is the 60 poes just the first time and the rest, just go to him wearing the armor? 3. How many seconds pass when rupees are removed? 4. What's the maximum amount of rupees can Link have in this game?

Re: Magic Armor
Roughly 1 rupee every second. Plus it subtracts depending on how much damage you sustain (I don't know the exact amount of rupees it subtracts when you acquire damage though).

Re: Magic Armor
When you find all 60 poes and you get unlimited rupees, is your rupee meter just faded out at 1,000 and it never goes down? Or do you spend rupees at shops and use rupees while wearing the magic armor and when you need more rupees you have to go back to Jovani every time to get a refill?

Re: Magic Armor
So once you have the infinite rupees and magic armor, as long as Link dons the armor, he's basically an immortal Hylian being walking on the face of Hyrule?
What happens if you switch from the magic armor to Link's green or blue tunic? Do you still have the infinite rupees? (Link's heart meter will deplete if he gets hit then)

Re: Magic Armor
...The infinite rupees and the magic armour are separate. Not having one won't alter the other.
How it works is this: Get 60 Poe souls, trade them in for infinite rupees. This means that you never run out. Ever. It's not infinite refills, it's an unlimited number always. This has nothing to do with the armour. Once you get the magic armour you can wear it whenever you want. It consumes about 1 rupee every second, more when you get hit. If you have an infinite number of rupees it will never use them all, so it never has to turn off.

Re: Magic Armor
Are you saying that Malo Mart is the most annoying place, or the sidequest leading up to gaining the armor is annoying, because I rather enjoyed the actual store in Castle Town.

Re: Magic Armor
Hm.. This is very nice news, thus far my only complaint after a TP playthrough was the magic armor, why provide us with an -par- subquest only to give us a finite item, i.e the magic armor which drains your ruppees. It just felt like a really stupid desicion on nintendo's part, give us something truely awesome, but not really letting us use it. That would be like giving us the biggoron sword, but having it impede your mobility.
But now knowing that there is a way to get infinite ruppees, I have more respect for the game, it really pushes us to collect all 60 poes, what a nice subquest ![]() I can't wait to run around hyrule with my magic armor and infinite ruppees.

Re: Magic Armor
Not that it matters, I'm just curious:
Is it possible to buy the Magic Armor from the original shop (pre-Malo Mart) with infinite rupees? It should be possible, seeing as 100,000 is entirely short of infinite. Has anyone tried?

Re: Magic Armor
I doubt it. Infinite rupees would mean your stock never goes down but to buy something for 100,000 rupees would have to mean you have a wallet that can hold that much...I think.

Re: Magic Armor
It's not infinite rupees.
It's an unlimited supply. Your wallet still caps at 1,000.
