I got the Collector's Edition because I wasn't going out to buy a second-hand N64 and OOT and MM for it. Simple as that.

Well it's well worth it if you've never owned N64. I missed out on some of the best years of zelda. So collectors edition makes up for that.

I pretty much just got it for the old Zelda games that were on it. And an excuse to go through OoT again. I'm glad I got it too. The original Zelda is one of the best.

I just wish I had the CE so I could play OoT and MM on the Gamecube. My N64 still works and so do my games of course but the joysticks are pretty warped on my controllers haha. I have to press forward so hard on the joystick yo run forward that my thumb hurts lol. That's the one thing I hate about the N64, I went through a lot of controllers because of the joysticks. The plastic wears down way too easily especially when you have people over at your house who don't know how to play with them carefully. Thank god the Gamecube joysticks were higher in quality!

The Collectors edition is better because if you don't have the other systems, then it's almost impossible to play the classics like OOT or MM. I don't have these systems, so colector's edition was the best thing to ever come with my gamecube.

I never bought the collectors edition when I bought my GC I had already beat ocarina on my n64 and majoras mask so i decided to get the masterquest version for gc to my disapointment it wasnt that much different then the orignal

Sadly i never got my hands on the Collectors Edition, might actully go look on ebay now see if i find one, however MM was one of my favorite Zelda's and i easily get the CE instead of another game.

"Playing the classics" is fine, but I actually think the controls for the N64 version of Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask were better than the Gamecube controls. Also, playing the original Legend of Zelda felt... Weird. The Gamecube controller didn't really feel right to play it with. The only reason I got the Collector's Edition disk was because I had to sell my N64 along with my copy of Ocarina of Time to be able to afford Twilight Princess.
