Re: TP Hype Thread II: The Revenge!!!

I am 100% sure it has something to do with Death Mountain, like dragon roost island. If you look at the videos it is to the RIGHT of the castle. In the others it was always to the LEFT. Meaning since this is mirrored, that is a death mountain of some sort.

BTW rumor has it IGN got Wii's today, in Matt's blog he said hell was going to start today. That is what he was talking about. So expect LOADS of new info tomorrow when the embrago is lifted. It isn't only the ten hours, it may also be how far Matt has got with the one he got at IGN.

Re: TP Hype Thread II: The Revenge!!!

Oh after playing WW, I am almost convinced the Twilight King is Ganondorf, in WW if you play the last battle target Ganondorf and rotate the camera so it is behind him. He is wearing the same EXACT shoes as the Twilight King. Golden boots.

Yeah it's dynamic like the Hyrule Field theme in OoT. When you're near an enemy the music changes to a darker tone and changes back to happy music when the enemy has been dealt with ^_^

Re: TP Hype Thread II: The Revenge!!!

I'm pretty hyped up, but also pretty blech at the same time. I'm not getting it until Christmas in December, either on the Gamecube or Wii (depending on whether I get a Wii). I think I'm going to bitterly stay away from this forum right now, or start a "Bitter fans waiting for December" thread.

Interesting demo of TP

Now it is the same demo we have all seen, but this has some thing's that stuck out:

http://64.233.179.104/translate_c?hl...language_tools

First we finally see Links animation when you don't move the controller. Then when the guy finally enters the lava section he jumps in and Link makes the infamous scream. But now we get to hear it with the new voice. Then after the second time he falls in a little fairy heals him. We also hear Midnas laugh on the speaker.

I absolutly love link's death scream, this demo, being mirrored, feels a tad fresh, which is very nice.

I love the his death scream as well. It's down right disturbing! Sounds like something I'd hear from a guy getting eaten by zombies in Resident Evil. I love Midna's laugh as well-- mysterious and creepy-- seems to fit her personality.

I'm so hyped for TP right now, but if the rumors of there being no day/night system are true, I'll be very upset. This may sound lame, but looking up at the sky ans seeing the stars in MM and WW was a lot of fun for me. I also like the change in scenary. I really hope that's just a nasty rumor, but it makes you wonder...

Yeah the scream was VERY disturbing. I was like "was that Link"?. But you can tell they are doing a really good job polishing this game.

You mean they DID a really good job polishing TP? The game is done, complete, and final. They have already starting manufacturing the disks and packaging them! Did you see the video of the manucfacturing warehouse cranking out Wii's and TP? I love it!!!!!!!!!!

Kee, don't worry there is a day/night system. There is absolutely no way Nintendo would not have one after all the console 3d Zeldas had one. The people at kotaku meant that the twilight realm doesn't have a day/night system because it is always in that hazy status.

Yeah, the tought of having no day/night system in this game is ridiclous. We've already seen plenty of screens during day/dusk and nighttime. Hell Iawata even said that at night it would be so dark that you needed to use the lantern so it felt like an item that you really need and not just for a few times.

Re: TP Hype Thread II: The Revenge!!!

It was confirmed there is a day and night system. Only in the main field, when you go into certain areas it stops at the time you went in. Like when you are in the main field at dusk and you enter hyrule town, it stay's dusk and doesn't change.

That's what I'm hoping. I mean, it wouldn't make sense not to have the day/night system after OoT, MM, and WW had it, like you said.

That issue aside, Twilight Princess is shaping up to be one of those epic titles that you know will be a classic and talked about for years to come. While it is definatly not as revolutionary as OoT, the new way of playing using the Wiimote seems like a lot of fun!

I'm also shocked with the overworld theme! It's so different from any other Zelda theme, yet it is incredible! Hopefully the other themes in the game will be that good. I'm hoping for more original music and less remixes of older themes. WW tried remixing all OoT's themes (like Saria's Song and Kakariko) and I was dissapointed. While I do want songs like the Dark World theme, Saria's Song, and the Song of Storms to return, I really want a new generation of Zelda music. A new type of soundtrack that will please fans like OoT. OoT was full of original music, and all are loved and known by fans (MM used the same themes, but added more which I liked, but overall, it was OoT's basic tracks). I hope TP does the same.

10 more days! 10! Hmmm... everyone is saying 9, but I think they are mistaken. Today is the 9th which means it will be the 19th in 10 more days... NEXT SUNDAY!

Proof? I don't think it hasn't been confirmed, just expected since OoT/WW did that.

Didn't Aonuma say that? Whatever...

I was wondering, since the nighttime is so dark in TP, to create a more solitary/lonely feeling, wouldn't it be cool if those overworld enemies were just removed? It sounds like an extreme move and it probably wont happen, since TP is supposedly more difficult, but it would be so cool.

Monsters, even though they're monsters, create a feeling of company. Running through a vast empty field that extended far into the distance would be really cool if monsters weren't there to disturb the loneliness of the night.

Once again, I ask can you provide proof? I really doubt that was confirmed anywhere, but maybe you know something I don't.

"I have been called into this thread to clarify something.

For the day/night cycle, of course the sun goes across the sky while you are in the field. That's obvious. In towns, whatever time of day it was when you entered via the field, it will be that time of day in the town. (I think, anyways. I don't recall being in most "town" areas long enough to see if it really made a difference.) It looks like it's basically like Ocarina of Time or Wind Waker.

In the parts of the game Nintendo showed us, it was not obvious to me how day/night works in the twilight. Everything was so twilighty that I couldn't tell what time of day it was. Then again, it might have just been that the twilight areas we saw were only inside of time-restricted areas. I don't remember for sure.

I hope that answers some questions. If you ask me again on Friday, I might be able to shed some more light on the subject".
