That would be cruel, but awesome at the same time.

Remind me to get my flat tire fixed before that conference, just in case. I don't think the donut I've got on my car right now could handle the way I'd be driving too well if that happened...

Re: TP Hype Thread II: The Revenge!!!

Bah. I never believed it, Nintendo is giving they´re "big" conference on September 14 (or so), it´s senseless to have a release date just now.

Re: TP Hype Thread II: The Revenge!!!

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha....that was funny....I love the way Miss Murder took it...you rule..

anywho, why would IGN release it before we hear anything from Nintendo? If IGN has anythin, its becasue its been revealed somewhere by a Nintendo-source earlier (given the subject is Nintendo-related)...

that was funny.....and such a weak article...I can't believe people bought it.

Anoop Ganyatat? Is that a real person, or can I just laugh...

Re: TP Hype Thread II: The Revenge!!!

This is why I avoid the forums every few days. Something like that fake release date thing comes up and suddenly it's mass hysteria.

Luckily it was revealed as a fake. We wouldn't want another Midna = the MS oriented flame war to rise up.

With that said, I wonder if I would have even started to believe the release date at this point. All this waiting has made me skeptical of even the most believeable things...

Darn you Nintendo! Is this really what you want?

Re: TP Hype Thread II: The Revenge!!!

I concurr with ZeldaFanPlus. Personally I have never heard of "Fine Tuning" a game taking almost two years, but hopefully Nintendo has taken this time to make this game great instead of just being plain lazy and taking their time to put out this game because they get a real kick out of Zelda fans being disappointed.

LOL, I concur with Ganonslayer. I have never heard of "fine tuning" a game taking two years either. However, I don't doubt that Nintendo has put in a massive effort to make TP the best Zelda game ever. IGN has a new "Games of Fall" feature up and they mention TP as being THE GREATEST SINGLE VIDEO GAME OF ALL TIME. The reason why I capitalized that sentence is because thats a huge statement. I just don't know how you can give TP that kind of title when the game isn't even out yet! We hardly know anything about the twilight realm/wolf link gameplay and thats a HUGE part of the game. I sure hope TP ends up being the greatest of all-time, but I think IGN giving it that title already is a little premature. IGN also went on to say that TP will be the greatest launch title in the history of video games.

I wonder if Nintendo is being affected by all of this hype themselves? I mean the development team has a TON of pressure on their shoulders. Major media outlets are hailing TP as the greatest of all-time (IGN) and countless other people are saying it will at least be one of the greatest, if not THE greatest. Expectations are so high, that I really wonder if this is the reason why there is so muchy secrecy around the game. Nintendo must now realize that this game simply cannot disappoint on any level what so ever. How did the hype get so out of control? No other game in recent memory has garnered this much attention and I hope all of this hype doesn't affect the outcome of Nintendo's latest project.

I would like to hear everyone elses thoughts on this matter so let the discussion begin!

But do you think it will be the greatest game of all-time? We're not just talking about the Zelda series, we're talking about every single video game ever created.

Re: TP Hype Thread II: The Revenge!!!

I thought the "fine tuning" turned out to be basically making the game compatible with the Wii. They may have done some work on the actual game but I haven't heard any bragging on Nintendo's part about their added dungeons and depth they were supposed to be doing that whole time.

Re: TP Hype Thread II: The Revenge!!!

Might want to point something out that isn't directly zelda related, yet important anyways.

Some stores have confirmed that they received a letter saying that Wii demo pods will be send their way between half till the end of october along with the PS3 ones

pic: http://www.cubezone.nl/get/getConten...p?FileID=19932

If the demo pods are coming out half/end october, then I seriously doubt the game/wii will come out any earlier than that, so I wouldn't hope to much for an october release anymore, unless it's a late october release. November just seems most probable now I think.

Yea I never thought that the Wii/TP were going to launch in October. November seems like the month that they will be coming out. I'd say any time between November 1st and Thanksgiving.

Re: TP Hype Thread II: The Revenge!!!

Those Wii demos need to be out there asap if ya ask me. There's so much doubt out there surrounding this new system and Nintendo needs to prove that this is the future of gaming and not just some cheesy gimmick.

The kiosk's need to be out fast. People are doubting the Wii. Nintendo needs to get a jump on the PS3 in terms of kiosks and launches.

Regardless of what happens, the Wii is going to launch right around the same time as the ps3. Both are coming in November, so yea, it would be a good idea for Wii kiosks to be set up ahead of time so people can try it out and maybe that can persuade them to get a Wii instead of a p$3.
