He says the first two hours are boring probably because it's mostly tutorials and running around the village.

And he said the graphics are ugly on a high def tv with COMPOSITE cables......well of course LOL! If you are going to have your console hooked up to a hd tv you should use COMPONENT cables. As long as you use component cables you will be fine.

First 2 hours? I'm not surprised. Think about it...
OoT: Kokiri Forest has no side quests or anything to keep you preoccupied, plus it is so small. Deku Tree is so easy it shouldn't even be called a dungeon, plus it's music is bleh.

MM: A large and repulsive routine before even saving.

WW: A routine even more repulsive than MM.

We shouldn't be bothered by 2 hours anyway.

What are you talkin about, the first two hours in OOT I already pissed myself at the terror of Ghoma. (I was young give me a break).

The guy who commented that is not a "OMG CAN'T WAIT FOR TP" guy. I promise

LOL, he also said the p$3 is below a root canal for his christmas list!!!!!!!!!!! Sounds like he is even less impressed with the p$3.

I thought that was a weird comment. Is this guy too cool for his job or what?


Does anyone besides me have problem getting those new vids on IGN to load? I've only been able to watch two of them since they started posting them Friday. It tells me it's loading but it never does.

LOL.....I wanted you to see the difference between the cables he is using. Of course Wii games won't look as good when you have the system hooked up to a hdtv and your using standard composite cables. If you buy the component cables (sold separately) than it will look just fine. The wii comes packaged with standard cables though, and I think the component cables are $30 extra...which I will be buying because I have a hdtv.

Try to restart the videos several time, or restart your webbrowser

Yeah AndyXZ it does that to me too. It keeps on loading and doesn't stop.

Also I don't really care about the Blog comments. I have a 27' SDTV.

Don't worry about it dude! Actually, I guess I was talking about after the first playthrough. My first playthough of OoT was difficult. I got lost in the Kokiri Forest, and I got trapped in that "shoot the ladder to make it fall" part of the Deku Tree.

Edit: Note I said Kokiri Forest and not Lost Woods!

Hmph... hate to say it, but after my 3rd play through, I may hate Ordon.

Yeah I can agree with you there. I got really mad when I couldn't get passed the three deku guards. Because I didn't hit them in order.

I always forget which one is 1 and which one is 3

I hope one of the temples in TP has the same effect on me as the Forest Temple did in OOT.

Of course it will. I can almost see myself getting stuck in a easy puzzle. Haha

Well I meant when you first enter it and the song starts. It look's so haunted and dead. You walk a little, then you get attacked by wolf's. It was just amazing.

From what I've seen of TP's forest temple, I think I'm going to like it better than the forest temple in OoT. The puzzles look more fun in TP, and of course the graphics look better. The same can be said about the goron mines compared to the fire temple in OoT. TP just looks more fun....simple as that. I hope all of the temples have interesting puzzles that use the temple item in a new way.

I like how the gale boomerang can rip up floor tiles in the forest temple.....and the magnetic boots, well I don't even have to say anything about that item! Those puzzles are going to be sweet!

I'm already more than certain I'm going to do a TP weblog as I play, and I'll probably post it here. Would you all rather I write it from a gamer's perspective, or as though I'm actually Link, going through my adventure in Hyrule? I know it sounds somewhat silly to ask, but it really does make a difference.

I wouldn't worry about the first 2 hours of TP being boring. Most Zelda games start off boring (except maybe ALttP and I always loved OoT's beginning). Remember Majora's Mask? That is by far the most tedious/boring/lame beginning ever. I mean, being stuck in Clock Town as Deku Link when you complete all your tasks on the first day and then having to wait 2 more grueling, eventless days untill the Clock Tower opens and you get your Ocarina of Time back... etc etc. Yeah, Majora's Mask turns out to be one of the greatest games ever by the time you beat the first temple in my opinion... Wouldn't worry about this too much.

Same here. The Forest Temple has the most mysterious feeling when you first play it, but that feeling has worn off after 8 years...
