Question Question about WW and th Master Sword

Hello, everybody

I've created this account motivated by this...

It's said that the Master Sword has never moved. But how does that apply to Wind Waker?

Is the Master Sword chamber the Temple of Time? Was that Hyrule Castle built on top of the old Temple of Time? I thought that specific area was the gorge created by Ganon, the one that housed Ganon's Castle.

Zelda is a pretty contradictory series, the master sword changes it's location constantly. To a Forest right above Kakariko village, to the ghetto of Hyrule Castle town, to the basement of hyrule castle, and then to apparently the lost woods. One of Nintendo's favorite things to do if retcon.

Actually isn't it a consensus that the Master Sword never moves, it's the world around it that changes?

All games fall into it nicely except WW... I'm replaying it right now and it struck me.

Actually, the Master Sword doesn't move; but the kingdom around it does. In Skyward Sword its in a forest area, and in Twilight Princess its in the sacred grove which sits in a forested area after the old capital from Ocarina of Time was abandoned. They clearly built the capital over the forest, and when abandoned the forest grew back like it naturally was supposed to.

In Wind Waker, I'd say that after Ganon broke free of the seal he wreaked havoc on the capital, destroying much of it and the Hylians built the castle over the Master Sword to protect it.

Re: Question about WW and th Master Sword

I guess I have to agree with The Baton of the Wind, although, I question where "it" says the Master Sword doesn't move. I'd say it does.
