Question Nunchuk/Controller problem. Help?:(

So, ive played for a while.. Thats not necessary, but I have played Skyward Sword on my Wii before. I went to play it again the other day. And it asks me to plug my Nunchuk into my Wii Motion+ accessory, I have the golden Zelda remote with Wii Motion+ inside. I plug my nunchuk inside and nithing happens, so, I try my other remotes that arent motion+ however, it would give me an idea to if its the remote, still nothing happens, so I try another remote, and again, nothing, so I try another Nunchuk, and nothing, so I guessed it was the Nunchuk, so I bought a BRAND NEW Nunchuk, and to my suprise, still nothing, ive seen other stories like this online however, most people buy a new Nunchuk and everything hunky dorey, this is not the case. Any suggestions/fixes? Im eager to play!?

Most likely broken or unclean contacts. Clean it out first, with a cotton bud or something. If that doesn't work then it may be broken.

It cant be the controller, because I tried it on two other, which arent motion+ however, it would give me an idea if it was broken or not

Sounds like your Motion Plus controller could be broken in some way.

Do you have a friend or family member who could lend you their Motion Plus controller and see if that helps?

That's a tough issue. This happened to me a while back, but it randomly started working again after I tried it a week or two later.

Re: Nunchuk/Controller problem. Help?:(

I think I may have solved it. I tried playing the conduit with the motion+ controller and nunchuk. The nunchuk didnt work.. So I tried the same nunchuk on a different remote on the conduit and it worked. So I think the nunchuk port on my motion+ remote is broken. I have tried the suggestion of the cotton bud. But it didnt work. Could anyone suggest other ways if cleaning it? That may be why its broke because I havent played for a while and my room gets dusty easily.

Re: Nunchuk/Controller problem. Help?:(

Something very similar happened to me, but it started working again once I plugged out the Motion Plus, plugged the nunchuck to the Motion Plus accesory separately, and then plugged the accesory back.

I guess that's not an option for you, though.

Is the golden controller your only way to use Wii Motion Plus? 'Cause if you have another one you could try that.

As for cleaning, the only thing I can think of is actually opening the controller and cleaning it from the inside, but I wouldn't recommend doing that unless you know what you're doing.

No i dont have any other motion+ remotes, im getting a new one tomorrow so it should be okay. I definitely know its the remote now as I described what I did earlier. I heard the actual motion+ accessory isnt as good as a mote+ because apparently it slows down the response or something because you have the nunchuk plugged into the accessory and not the remote.. I had 2 accessories, however I sold them when I traded Wii Sports Resort and got the Zelda+ remote with Skyward Sword.
